Bought this dimmer switch primarily to work with Alexa, which it does seamlessly. Wiring was easy. Comes with its own app which you can link pretty easily with Amazon app. Quick tip.... make sure you get the correct, dimmable bulbs. If the lights flicker, try changing bulbs.

Just got to fit these and they flicker so I have wasted my money as I’ve past the refund window. Not happy

The media could not be loaded.  It’s great when it works unfortunately it keeps disconnecting from Alexa and trying to remove is extreme hassle.

Installed ok but lights the lights take up to 2. minutes to react to a command. They dim or turn off immediately - any ideas anyone?

I received two different Jimeida Smart light switches to review, a simple on/off one and this dimmer one.The reason I got these is that I am moving house in a couple of months and the house needs some modernisation and I am looking to upgrade all the light switches to smart ones and/or to smart light bulbs. I particularly went with these one as they will work with my existing Alexa set-up, and they will also work with Google home.In the box you get the switch, 2 x pairs of screws and instructions. You can use this as normal light switch but to use the smart functionality you will need to download the “Smart Life “app to your mobile device.Before installing this, I suggest you check you have a decent wi-fi signal where you intend to put it. There are numerous apps you can download onto your mobile device to check that.To install this, you do need to remove the front plate to reveal the screw holes, this can be a little tricky. It will pop off. Having installed it, you pop the front cover back on.Before you start setting this up on your mobile device, you need to know this switch only works on 2.5G. If like me you have dual band (2.4G & 5G), you may need to turn off your 5G during the set-up process and turn back on again once you have finished. If you struggle with the wi-fi set-up process, it can also be set-up using Bluetooth.You should see a tiny blue LED flashing in the top left corner, this means it is in pairing mode. Go into the App and juts follow the set-up process for the switch. Having done this, if you have not already done so for another smart home device, you then need to go and enable the skill in Alexa or other smart home eco-system.Within the App, you can set-up scheduling, scenes, brightness, etc, etc.These work out particularly good value if you have a ceiling chandelier, where you may have 4-5 bulbs to control, as it saves having to purchase the smarts bulbs.Personally, I found this easy to install and set-upI hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Does not operate three lamps on a circuit it will flicker. May be ok for a single light. Looks good but I’m going to have to change it. Works intermittently is a bit temperamental

This switch needs to be connected to the neutral line before it can be used.The switch has a multi-control associated function than the one without a neutral line.The switches glow at night extremely faintly, you can only see it when standing next to in.This is a nice touch in the bedroom because you can't see the glow from more than a few feet away.Didn't took long to install and theIt was an easy setup.Then decided to try Alexa and Google Home.Both works just fine.You can adjust the brightness, setup a timer from everywhere in the house.Glad I purchased.Recommended 👍

Absolutely rubbish fir use with a dimmable LED bulb…and I tried a couple…Flickers a spankwangle.
