Great product
I bought this to replace an android tablet that I had been using for a year, but then the touch screen went wrong with it. Amazon stepped in and refunded the cost of the tablet when it was returned and I had initially intended to go and buy an ipad instead. However, the cost of those is eyewatering and I then thought about the Chromebook spin. It can act like a tablet when folded back or a small laptop when in conventional mode. I found this 64GB version as a second hand deal with over £100 off the new price (which was already a special price deal, so in fact this second hand one was something like £150 off the regular new price). It has a few tiny marks on the case and did not come with the manual or in the original box, but the manual can be downloaded as a PDF and the marks are hardly noticeable, so I am more than happy to live with them for the savings. The chromebook has great battery life and for what I use it for, it is ideal. With the Chrome OS that is basically android OS, I managed to install a range of apps that I had used on the android tablet that went wrong. Oddly a couple of apps said they were not compatible, which I don't understand, since they did not need any particular hardware like GPS. I found alternative apps that worked though, so no biggie. Been using it several weeks now and I am very happy. The screen resolution is perhaps a little bit of a negative point since it is now particularly high. However, for what I need it is fine. At the price I paid, I don't really think I could have got something better. It certainly feels like a quality product and from a very well known maker. I have had Acer products before and was very happy with them.

Love it.. on the whole 🫤
So this is my first new laptop in a while.. was used to the heavier Samsung 14" from years ago. The keyboard-touchscreen option is so useful. Lovely and light but doesn't feel feeble or fragile. The display is clear and sharp enough, the keypad nice to use and mousepad responsive, though obviously I don't have much experience of laptops this modern. I'd say it runs a little slower than I expected, tho I have been transferring a large volume of files. I'm massively struggling with the split screen, cannot get it to work despite using it easily on other computers. Maybe that's just me. The only think I'm mad about is that I cannot pin pictures/documents to the desktop. I am used to having a cluttered screen when on turning on my laptop.. with important files sitting readily available. I've done some googling for workarounds, but there arent any. The fact you can have apps but not individual files and folders on your main screen is infuriating. Apart from that I do like this laptop and it's genuinely great value for money. Update: since my review this laptop has got ridiculously slow. I've got virtually nothing saved on it, a handful of low-storage apps, tonnes of memory left, no viruses, etc and despite having super fast broadband, it struggles to load a webpage. Have ran diagnostics. It's beyond sluggish and mostly unusable for anything online.

Great battery life
Amazing chromebook, converts to a tablet when needed. Nice feeling keyboard, trackpad is very precise. Screen is clear and touch function is excellent. I think this is brilliant value as well. It is also very light, under a kilo I think. Feels sturdy and the hinge is first class, very happy.

Ideal for my needs
Had an Acer Chromebook for the past 10 years, and very pleased with it (still working!) but this model is smaller and lighter, with the additional benefit that it is touch screen and can be 'flipped' if prefer portrait mode. Suits my requirements.

Awful connection issues with this laptop
Do not recommend buying this laptop. It's been absolutely useless as it keeps freezing and internet cuts out on it endless times a day. The overall look of the laptop and touchscreen is good but seems pointless if I am constantly needing to restart the device just so it can connect to the internet. I have had this laptop for well over a year now but it's good as new as I've been having issues with it since the day I received it. So had just put it away as it was no use. The internet works fine on all the other devices except this laptop. I've tried everything possible even reset it back to the initial settings but it's still having the same problem. I am a fairly patient person so did not bother the seller about this earlier. But decided to contact the seller eventually and as it's beyond the return period I've been offered no help and have instead been sent a message to contact the manufacturer. This was an expensive laptop purchase and it's absolutely ridiculous to sell a product but take no responsibility for the issues it may have. Not pleased at all.
