Bought one and loved it. Bought a second one. Fan didn't work. Amazon sent a replacement in a day. Works great. Just like the first one. I am thinking of buying some more... maybe a larger one for a bigger area.

I love these little things. They do a good job and they are such a great value. I have 2 in my house. Filters are easy to find on amazon. The first one we bought was ran 24/7 and the medium speed and it lasted 2 years. We bought 2 more after that.

I took my large one apart and could not find any UV light source nor negative ion generator in the 2,500 sq foot one. I also have the 1250 sq. foot one. It contains an actual neg ion generator. A small one, but you do not want a big one. If you had a big, blue light neg ion generator, don't be in the room . It creates too much ozone. (which is negatively charged) You would need that room to 'sit' for about an hour without the generator. I live in Alaska, one of our biggest air pollutants that occur naturally is ozone. Ozone also occurs during lightening storms. So, you might need to air out the room you cleaned air in. Or just turn it off after a half hour and let the filter work. The filters are very good. Pluses, quiet!!! Tells you the air quality . We have a volcano about to erupt. That air is toxic and also has ground glass, acids, sulfur, etc. An air purifier is essential.

This was a great deal for a hepa air filter. Even with just the standard filter it came with it is working on pet smells. It is small and lightweight but works as well as ones I've had that were twice this size. Made of sturdy plastic. The essential oil diffuser is a nice touch although I don't find it very effective. It's more of a passive fragrance diffuser and probably would work better with something with a pretty strong scent.
