So easy to use but you must make sure the teapot clicks in properly or it wont start. One tiny problem is the light is on all the time and no way of dimming it or turning it off but I have have got used to that. Makes a superb pot of tea and does exactly what is designed to do. I love it. Review: No user instructions and I don’t know how to use the timer facility. Please provide detailed user instructions so that I can use it for the main purpose to wake up in the morning with a ready cup of tea. If I can’t do that then it is no use to me I might just as well use my kettle.

I don't use the Teasmade in the bedroom. I use it in the kitchen. I use it all through the day. Just fill the chamber with water, 1 or 2 mugs. Pop a tea bag into the teapot and place in the machine. Press the button and away it goes. No need to wait for the kettle. I know that when the beeping has stopped the tea is ready to pour. Great, I love it

Bought this as a Birthday present for a very dear friend. On unpacking it was found to be faulty. Following instructions from a firm called Trendi it was returned via Hermes as instructed for urgent replacement on 10/11/14 and was delivered to Trendi on 13/11/14 and "left in a secure location". Nothing further heard until recently chased by me and now fortunately been told that value of machine has been credited to my card account (now 10/12/14 and card has not yet received credited amount!) On the whole the present was a great idea but totally spoiled by an evidently faulty machine that should have been discarded on quality checking before despatch from manufacturer. Having read of other faults as seen in the Reviews I will not be buying a replacement from this supplier/manufacturer. There must surely be scope here for some enterprising company to innovate a new design of Teasmade that actually is 100% efficient and works without a load of hassle and annoyance. Come on British Manufacturers! Quality is of the Essence and greatest source of repeat business.

The first teasmade we received would not operate correctly because on the face of it there was a faulty switch. This was the one which is engaged when the teapot is placed in the machine to collect the water when it has boiled. The teasmade was returned for a refund and a new one purchased. The new one appeared to have the same fault, but I realised that the fault was that the wrong sized teapot is being supplied, it is too small and does not depress the switch when placed into the machine. We used the teapot from an older teasmade and because it is the correct size worked OK. .
