Works very well. Do a little online video Tutorials. Found a couple on YouTube. 10 minute install works great. Just a little delay in reaction time because of the lack of a neutral wire. Nothing to even think about though. I was a firefighter for 28 years and went on a lot of bathroom fan fires where the fan had been left on over the weekend or while the family was on vacation. This buys me little piece of mind because it shuts off on its own.

I always get a little nervous with electrical work but installation was super easy and instructions were very clear. Note this does not come with a face plate. Install tip, make sure you have a voltage tester handy so you can determine the hot connection. Once you determine that everything is easy. Also one other thing to be aware of is once power is restored, give it a full minute before you test. I believe the unit needs time to reset once power is supplied.

This timer the led indicator lights flash twice and then turn off. If you want the led indicators to stay ON, you will want the other item HET06A-W. I had the HET06A-W neutral required, and did not like how bright the LED lights were. They had so much light I had to keep the bathroom door closed at night, so I replaced with this one, HET06A-J. These timers are fantastic! I have them on the bathroom fans. Press the button and forget it, allowing the fan to clear moisture etc., and knowing the fan wont run excessively. Highly recommend. Other reviews mention to wait 1-2 minutes after turning the breaker on, before it will work, and that is correct. I also have the 8 button timer on my outdoor lights (same LED off) and really like them as well.

I bought 3. 1 of them (although wired correctly) does not work. For the one that doesn’t work, if you press the 1 min option, it basically breaks the timer and you have to turn off the breaker to get it to work again. The other 2 work as expected and were easy to install. Going to return the broken one.

I bought two, one with neutral wire and one without. The neutral wired one worked great, 5 stars. But the other one was defective from the start. I didn't know that I was buying a renewed version (both). It was $9 so no big deal and Amazon would refund me $7 if I spend my time to drive to a store, wait in line and give it to someone to box. What a waste of everyone's effort. Amazon will just chuck in the garbage anyway which is exactly what I am doing instead!

Returned junk one to local home improvement store, did not work. This one works. Wired to bathroom exhaust fans, love it. I have a thing about water and dampness damage.

Excellent choice. Easy to use and matches the house

Works perfect without neutral wire available. When choosing the time, blue light is on briefly and goes out. Probably because of no neutral wire. Timer works good.
