Nice and sturdy, dishwasher safe, slices as described with a good thickness. Saves a-lot of time and energy.

Gets the job done! Seems well made. It's plastic, but it's not flimsy. The wires look firmly attached to a metal ring. I expect it to last a while; especially since I'm only slicing eggs with it.

Love this egg slicer. I use it for strawberries and mushrooms as well. Sturdy wires (that's where my cheap one failed). Seems and feels very sturdy, and has some weight to it. Easy to use and saves time. Nice even slices.

Don't get put off by the stated dimensions. It may be a little larger than other egg slicers, but it's not the size stated. I got this because it's made by Kitchen Aid which I know generally makes a good product. I thought it might be big but I like the brand. I was pleasantly surprised upon opening the package to find that the actual dimensions at 5 3/4" when folded in half (which is most of the time) and 10" only when fully laid out open. That is not the normal storing area though. Even though it's slightly larger than others when folded it's still a very good size. The opening for the hard boiled egg (or mushroom or whatever you're slicing) is large so a jumbo egg easily fits there with some room left over. The device is sturdy with a rubber gasket on the bottom that keeps the slicer from moving around on the table. Because of it's size, I can also put it over a bowl to catch the egg rather than using a cutting board which would need to be cleaned. So it actually saves work this way. It also easily cuts through a hard boiled egg without any extra effort. I would definitely recommend getting this model if you're looking for an egg slicer. You won't need to replace it so fast.
