The item came super quick and I put it on. The bottom tucked right up into the hitch once I got done shaking my finger and dancing around after I had trouble getting the slider to slide right, but that is operator error. It did not cover the entire top of the hitch, more it attached to the side of the hitch. The one thing that I will do is glue a bit of bike inner tub on the top part where it clamps against the side of the hitch. My partner had just gotten done sanding and priming and repainting the tongue and he said if that lock scrapes his paint there will be H E Double Hockey Sticks to pay. In the same vein as others have pointed out, if someone wants my Airstream, they will find a way to get the lock off and take it. But the "Rudolph nose" sure stands out and says I am not going to make it easy. After I have used it for a while I will give an update. Okay, I have had it on several months. It works fine. I did glue the inner tube to the hitch to keep it from scraping the paint off. Again, if someone wants the Airstream, they will find a way. But this will stop crimes of opportunity.

Seems to be a relatively secure tongue lock. I would not say it’s overbuilt, however it seems like it would deter the common, opportunistic thief. A well equipped thief could defeat most any lock and there’s always that someone that thinks ahead and simply chain wraps a trailer tongue and drives away. For my purpose though, I think this will be more than satisfactory. It fits tightly to my 2” trailer tongue and the lock cylinder operates very smoothly. I recommend this tongue lock considering the MasterLock name and my personal observations.

Super stout and far better than its predecessor. Easy to use as well

I found this lock much more secure than some of these small ones that just goes through the hole.

Très bien. Va peut-être décourager les voleur de bas de game. Mais va retarder les experts. Acheter pour le prix et à la demande des assurances. J'ai aussi acheté une serrure pour la poignée de la main. Bon prix pour en décourager quelque un. Reste à voir si il va rouillé et être difficile à ouvrir. Abitibi Québec Canada
