Dry Cleaning Soot Eraser Sponge - Pet Hair, Smoke, Soot, Dust and Dirt Remover - 3x6 Double, One Unit (2 Pack Single)

Unfortunately we were and still are displaced survivors from the Eaton Fire on 1/7/2025. Our home was saved but had severe smoke damage with heavy metal contamination. We had to throw away most of our possessions but some could saved with correct surface cleaning. These sponges were recommended to us from an art restorer who showed us how to dry clean our paintings and other treasures with the sponge. It works very well and we recommend them.

Works really good

I was skeptical of this dry cleaning sponge but as I finally got around to using it on my textured ceiling I'm impressed how well it cleaned the surface. Slight elbow grease was required by myself, but that may be the reason some of the sponge started to pile off the sponge and stick to the ceiling texture. While it didn't get 100% of the years of grime around the ceiling light, I'm not upset as we will be repainting the entire room within the next week. Now, on to find out how I'm going to clean this sponge so I can reuse it in the future.....

Did not do well when candle soot is a light smudge. Was able to erase some very light soot from painted wall.

Advertised that they could be used to remove smoke stains. Didn't do anything but smudge my smoke stains around.....

The product works fine. But still a cheat. The 2 sponge deal is just one sponge sliced in 2 thinner ones. So it’s really one sponge of regular size. Get another brand

Do t use any cleaners or water on flat paint before using sponge to remove soot. The sponge does the work

This did not work to remove soot. We own a laser business and I bought them to clean the cut edges of our cut wood but it did not work as advertised.
