Has anyone tried this with Photoshop?

Yup... it serves all purposes I have had for it very well. I used to be on the fence bout such devices, however i have become quite attatched to this one & will replace it with the newest logitech model... if & when it finally fails. In short... i am very satisfied with this product .. it very accurately assumes whatever functions you program it for.. orignally bought for gaming, I am constantly finding new uses for it. For the price I paid... 5 stars easy

When I received mine, there was a kind of mini flat battery which I cannot find where to put. Could you please tell me what is it for?

Sorry I don't have a clue, the one I have doesn't have a place for a battery either. Maybe someone at the factory decided to have a little fun and you were the recipient of their humor? The other side of it, maybe someone is short a 'mini flat battery'... Mine powers up when the computer starts up and shuts down when the computer is off, I leave mine plugged in all the time.

Now it was never very clear, are the key switches mechanical or membrane switches? Usually I can tell by feel, but am unsure.

I've had my G13 apart to clean it. They are definitely membrane switches and they work very well. I've had my for over 4 years. I realize mechanical are preferred but the added cost would make the G13 a tougher sell to the average user. There are several tear down videos online you can view if you want to see the inner design.

does anyone know how to clean this? my buddy gave it to me and it is dirtier than an orgy on christmas eve

I'd recommend popping the keys off (gently, with a small plastic pry bar or maybe a popsicle stick) so you don't have to worry about getting the electronics wet. This also makes it a *lot* easier to clean underneath the keys, which is IMO the dirtiest part most of the time. On bigger keyboards, I'll take all the keys off, remove any metal brackets beneath them etc, put them in a long sock and tie a knot in it. Then, I'll chunk it in the washing machine on a cold setting, highly effective. Since this only has a few keys, it might be easier to just clean them by hand after removing them.Obviously I wouldn't try that with the smaller buttons at the top, since I doubt those can be removed the same way as the larger keys.
