Walking srick
Great walking stick. Helps you stand erect better than a cane. Good price. Nice that it folds easily

Changes my posture, & my mental outlook.
This is the safest cane/walking stick I have ever used. I adore the way the handle gives me alternate (and safe) grips for ascending and descending stairs and slopes. I'm even able to carry groceries up flights of stairs now that previously pulled me off balance so badly I had to split the load into 3 or 4 trips, now, just 1 load safely. Mentally, I'm still rather young and a traditional cane sometimes makes me feel depressed. This walking cane takes me back to my pre-injury days of hiking. It gives me a feeling of being whole again (even though I'm not). And when I've been at the VA for appts, I've had 2-3 people ask me about it each trip. Many people also like the look and feel of activity and health. As for posture, the ability to move your hand around to fit the ground you're traversing allows you to match the cane to the ground, not you to the ground like traditional canes. No more hunching to reach the ground when going down a slope or stairs, or when traversing uneven ground. No more hunching or straining your arm when wearing different pairs of shoes from day to day, just let your hand fall naturally on the grip. The handle was rather slick though so I wrapped it in some kinestheology tape (OK tape) for a better grip. I am still trying to find the correct tip for me. The included tip trips me up a bit too often. I believe I will likely end up with the "ergocap" tip but that can slip on wet brick so I'm not entirely sure yet. I would suggest getting the cane holder that is a soft foam wire. You wrap it around the cane and make a hook out of one end to fit whatever you need to hang it on. 3 to a pack, work great and keep their shape, don't slide down the cane. Very adjustable. Can fit wherever you need it to fit. 5 out of 5 for the came out of the box.

Really does make you stand straight while walking, but curved handle feels weird.
I'm debating about whether I love this cane or just like it a bit. It does make me stand straight when I walk, which I love! However, the handle is not that comfortable to hold and use. My hand tends to slide down the curve making the cane feel less stable. I think I might have to try some grip tape around the handle, though I'm not the neatest at wrapping tape around curved handles. I hate for it to look like a kid wrapped the handle. I wish the manufacturer would add a better gripping handle (one that doesn't feel sticky though). I do like that the cane stands up on its own, but being so tall it does tip over very easily. It was very easy to put together and does seem sturdy enough overall. This works much like the European walking sticks that look like ski poles but are made for walking. A neighbor of mine got a pair of those from her relatives somewhere in Europe. The curved handles are the major difference in this one and hers were sold as a pair. She told me her set has been used in Europe for many years. I guess it takes us a lot longer to accept different innovations. Glad to see at least a one-pole version here!

Very good cane!
I can't say enough good things about this cane! The unique handle give you several options for standing and walking. The Cane's ability to fold in half is very convenient and it stands on its own.

So much better than a standard cane
After back surgery, it became clear that I might be stuck with a cane forever. I went from active retired mail carrier to active recovering back surgery patient with a freaking cane. Recovering from back surgery meant no ibuprofen for 6 months, and the inflammation in my (truly messed up in so many ways) arthritic, fallen-arched, bone-spurred feet and my arthritic hands exploded. I had carpal tunnel surgery in one hand and my feet became painful and unstable. Even after resuming ibuprofen, the damage was done. I'll need a cane forever. I have a really good offset cane: sturdy and solid. But while walking the dogs, I had increasing pain in the (not carpal tunnel surgery) hand due to the pressure on my palm. So I looked at this cane. Read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. Using this style takes some practice; it forces you to stand straighter (good) and not lean on it. It's very stable, even after I ditched the tip it came with and replaced it with a standard tip. It's something I can deal with far better than the old style. I read some reviews mentioning the hard handle and how padding would be nice. I had handle cushions that are actually made for walkers; they worked better with the old cane than ones marketed for canes. I use one around the handle of this one; the handle is hard, and even though you don't lean on it so much, it's still uncomfortable. I recommend trying walker handle cushions. Overall, this has improved my mobility comfort and eliminated the pain in my hand.

Easy walking cane
Got this for my mother who has neuropathy and balance problems. She likes the handle because of the easy grump. She likes the bottom of the cane because of the wide base. The cane does fold, but it doesn’t really fold in half. More like 2/3rds. It is still comfortable for he to use and easy to place aside. The height does adjust but does seem like it might be a problem for taller people. Good value and recommended.

So the thing is that most walking sticks are palm down. If you take that into context, then you probably will find this a different approach. That way you are not tilting to one side as much as you would do in a normal cane. This, however, solely depends on your balance, gait etc.
