These are good for use in old radios as detector diodes, I also think they get used in guitar amp distortion circuits. If you are building a vintage-style 'crystal radio set', or repairing an old 1960s transistor radio, these should work in place of OA series diodes, for example. They have a very low (around 0.3 v) forward bias drop, and are essentially signal diodes. I can recommend these.
