Used this as part of a fiber break in my audio system for the Ethernet line. Running a fiber break can clean up the sound and is a very cost effective audiophile tweak. Be sure the ends match up with the SFP's and you use multimode cable (orange) with mutilmode SFP's and single mode (yellow, like this) with single mode SFP's.

the 7 inch is super short, the length of the actual green fiber is about 2-3 inches, all the rest of the length is in the strain relied and connectors. Only suitable for going up 1u with no more than an inch or two to the left or right.
