Nutramax Laboratories Dasuquin with MSM Chewable Tablets For Small/Medium Dog

Absolutely love how easy it is to give these chewables to my small dog. The ingredients seem high-quality, and I feel good about supporting his joint health. He's been more active lately, which is a big plus. The chewable format makes administration simple, and I appreciate that it's veterinarian recommended. Overall, a reliable product for my dog's wellness.

Long detailed review because I know how important our pups are to us! Strongly recommend this vitamin!! Background: my dog is 5 was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in February and takes prescribed anti-inflammatories daily. He’s an ACD and enjoyed being active until issues started. Issues: mild stiffness in both hips & his hip will pop occasionally if he twists/turns too quickly. Sleeping a lot and reluctant to go outside and completely uninterested in playing fetch. He normally asks to go outside but stopped completely when issues started, even when taking the anti-inflammatories. Not sure if it was just pain or maybe a little depression but instead of laying/napping on couch with me he would hide and nap in his quiet den spot in bedroom alone. Results only weeks after starting this vitamin: he’s sleeping less and wants to go outside and walk and play fetch again. After one week he started ringing his bells on doorknob to ask to go outside and go for walk. Today, now several weeks on vitamin, he got mad I wasn’t fast enough after the bell ring so he tracked me down and barked at me and pushed me to the door. Last time he was that excited for a walk was almost a year ago. I’ve noticed his movement is much more fluid. I’m still following veterinary directions with frequency/duration of exercise so I can only speak for mild daily activity of 20 minutes walking everyday. I’m also careful with fetch games I make sure he doesn’t have to turn/twist to catch. Side effects: he had gas at first and hates the taste. So I broke it up and mixed it with a little bit of fatty fragrant food like an egg or unsalted salmon. Mayo works too in a pinch I’ll mix his kibble with a little bit and then mix in pill pieces. He doesn’t like peanut butter but I imagine that would be great way for others. This fixed reluctancy to eat & the horrific smelling farts. I made sure I followed directions starting out with smaller dose. He had some runny stools at first but week two they were back to normal. Hope this review helps someone. Wish I would have bought this from the start. It warms my heart to see him happier & enjoying activities again! His general comfort has improved which improved his mood. Pics of him enjoying walks again and clunking out happily on couch after walk & playing fetch. Complete improvement and in less than a month. SO GRATEFUL for this product!

These seem to help my dog who has had TPLO surgeries on both of her knees. She has received them faithfully every single day since and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. She won’t eat them though, so I need to dissolve them in water before adding it to her food. They are a hard tablet and don’t really smell like anything so they seem like they don’t have any added flavor so they likely don’t appear appetizing to any dog. But they seem to be helping her joints and that’s all that matters!

Our pups are 8 years old, and we've been using Dasuquin for over a year per our vet's recommendation. We found that the soft Dasuquin chews caused our beagle to experience an upset stomach. We have switched to the chewable tablets, and she seems to have less stomach irritation. Both our pups take 1/2 tablet per day with ease. They both seem to have more energy and are eager to go on walks. I assume they are experiencing less pain given their playfulness and ease of movement. The tablets are a little hard to break in half; I use a knife. Apparently, the tablets taste good as they both take them without issue.

This review is LONG overdue. This particular brand and WITH the MSM was recommended to us by our veterinarian for our 15 year old dog that had over time lost her ability to climb up and down our stairs, jump on the sofa where she loves to sun and jump up on our bed. Our vet told us that he had really good results with this particular brand of glucosamine because we told him we HAVE tried other glucosamine products without noticing much of anything. For me, it was worth a try because we love our dog and want her to be comfortable if that is possible without medicating her to the point of her being groggy. So we gave it a try. WOW, not even kidding you, within about 7-10 days she hopped up on the sofa! (I almost cried .. I was so happy!), she also now runs up and down the stairs without any problems at all. She does not jump on the bed anymore but in fairness, our bed is REALLY high off the ground and I suspect that it's just too much for her jumping down also... (she IS 15). The fact that she can now get on the sofa and go up and down the stairs has sold me to this product and I couldn't be happier. If your dog is suffering the same fate, I would suggest to even just buy the smallest bottle of this to try because we noticed the change relatively quick. I have recommended to my friends who also have older dogs and one that is young but struggles with hip issues and every single one of them has reported good results and continues to buy this product. I absolutely love this-- correction my dog absolutely loves this, a while back my poor dog (under 20lbs) had a problem with his knee it caused him to limp, he stopped going up the stairs and seemed as if he was in pain. when we took him to the vet the vet told us he would need surgery on his knee or else he would not stop limping and his knee would continue to get worse. as you could imagine it felt like we've been hit by a ton of bricks the vet recommended Dasuquin with MSM and gave him pain meds for the meantime. When i went on amazon and read all of the reviews i was overwhelmed but let me tell you when they said "miracle pill" i promise you this is by far a miracle our dog took this consistently for two weeks and now hes running, jumping, playing he is no longer limping he's back to his old self with no surgery! This pill is a blessing when we bring him into his vet checkups they never point to his knee unless we say something about it, i have reason to believe the vet was lying about him needing the surgery. As of now he has been on this for almost a year although its a bit expensive it is worth every dime spent my dog never had to undergo surgery this is my 4th time buying and i will continue to buy this.

This is a PRODUCT that again, was introduced to us by our Vet for our dear little toy PoOdle, Celtic Creme who has aches and pains, you know, joint pain like most of us. She was a frisky little poOdle who LOVED to run and jump and play hard with me. She's 17 1/2 years old now and her doctor tells me to S L O W - D O W N, she's older. She HIGHLY recommended Dasuquin with MSM. I first purchased it from her and would give Celtie a half tablet every other day (as suggested by both my Vet and the label on the bottle.) Well, Celtie isn't that slow anymore, she's been taking Dasuquin as prescribed for close to 3 years, now. Both my husband and I are very, very, very happy with the results. I cannot say that her results will be the same for every dog... but it has worked well for Celtie. She also LOVES the taste!! She actually looks forward to her 'half tablet' every other day, I AM NOT KIDDING! My husband gives it to her. She's funny, dogs are funny... they 'play on habit.' If your pet is suffering from joint pain - PLEASE TALK TO YOUR VET AND ASK ABOUT DASUQUIN. The dose is all according to the SIZE OF THE PET! Celtie is a toy poOdle! I give her Dasuquin with MSM by Nutramax... and I found it for a better (much better) (much, much better) price on Amazon!!! Now, "Celt, do you recommend Dasuquin for other dogs????" {WoOF WoOf WOOF WOOF!!} Translation: "YES YES YES YES!!"
