Works good so far.
My wheel horse 244-h quit charging, I determined the issue was a bad regulator. So after reading a bunch of reviews I ended up buying this one. It arrived in a couple days. The only issue was the hole did not have any threads in it, which is no big deal. I ran a 1/4-20 tap in it and got perfect threads. I installed it on the mower and it is charging perfectly now, roughly 14.7 volts at full throttle. If it lasts like the original did it will be a good purchase to fix my problem.

works well, way cheaper than oem
I realized I needed a voltage regulator for my John Deere 318 garden tractor. I got sticker shocked searching John Deere parts, then I found this. It worked right away and I haven't had a problem since. Good deal.

VR fit in original position and works as required. Bolt hole is not threaded and had to be tapped.
The voltage regulator works very well and fits in the original location. The bolt hole on the voltage regulator, which is in a blind space under a sheet metal cover, was not threaded. I had to tap the bolt hole with a 1/4 - 20 tap to be able to bolt it in place. That was easy to do and it now works great!

It works great, lets see if it lasts.
I put this on my 31 year old Toro Wheel horse 212-5 with an Onan e125v engine that had stopped charging the battery. The specs on this one matched the original regulator. At 3400 rpm my multimeter put the DC output right at 14.4 V and it also seemed to fix some other running issues. The Onan mounting screw doesn't work on this one because the hole is not threaded and is smaller the the original bolt. I used a 6mm nut and bolt and a lock washer to mount it with no problem. If it lasts, it's perfect.Update: Because I was concerned that the vibration to the 6mm screw with the nut would cause it to come loose, I decided to use a 1/4 tap to thread the mounting hole on the regulator for the original screw that won't vibrate out. It's now mounted just like the OEM part.

Test this first
Nice item got it today installed and now charging my battery. Before replacing this check your stator at the ends of the disconnected wires 1 and 3, there should be between 40 to 60 or less volts AC. At high RPMIf there is, you'll know it the regulator is not working.

Voltage Regulator Rectifier
This fit well and fixed the charging issue. This is the second replacement of the original. The last one which was similar to this lasted about 15 years, a little less than the original but at a fraction of the cost of a Deere replacement it seems like a good deal. They are pretty simple to change.
