Un Elefante: Numbers / Números (Bilingual: English/Spanish): A Bilingual Counting Book (Lil' Libros) (English and Spanish Edition)

I love the whole concept of this book. Trying to raise a bilingual child, I've had difficulty finding fun, simple, bilingual books for my 7 month old. I have purchased all of the Lil Libros books, and this one by far is the best one. My daughter loves it!! Now, full disclosure, these series are one word Spanish/English books with beautiful illustrations. There is no story line written, although you could add one based on the illustrations and the word on the page (as I have done). If you are familiar with the nursery rhyme "Un Elefante" then "reading" this aloud to your child is extra fun! Either way, it is a great book to have as a resource for your child if you are trying to teach/reinforce Spanish in your child's vocabulary.

When I first discovered Lil' Libros’ beautiful, culturally educational, and most importantly, bilingual children’s books, I made it a personal goal to gift family and friends that have newborns and young children with at least one from the collection. The love of learning that I’ve had throughout my life is something that is so valuable to me and that I deem important for both overall happiness, intellectual wellbeing, as well as success. I try to share this valuable trait as often as I can and help pass it on to the next generation.

It's about time. This book in particular touches my heart. My dad used to sing Un elefante to me when I was little. Now that he is gone, I sing it to my boys. The book is great quality too, especially for those rough handling toddlers/kids. Simple, cute, easy for beginning readers. So happy to have a good representation of my culture and be able to share it with my little guys.

This is my 5th Lil’ Libro book (some were gifts given to my daughter and some were given to others) and I can’t get enough. My baby likes to bite everything, so these hard pages are great. The illustrations are beautiful and I love reading to her in both Spanish and English. I wish I could get them all!

Love lil libros and this book especially!! It’s the perfect gift to start a book collection for a little one. I gave it as a baby shower gift and I have it for my 4 year old daughter. Absolutely love it!! And it’s bilingual which is the best part.

Cute. I was expecting the actual song in the book. It’s a typical counting book (1 elephant, 2 elephants). However Mom or dad can sing the song to along with it. I still really like it!

I sang this song to my children and now they sing it to their children. Its a perfect choice to teach numbers and the artwork is so much fun to examine and talk about with little ones. Don't be surprised if they ask you to sing the song over and over.

It’s a great tool to introduce a familiar nursery rhyme that I knew when I was little, to my little girl. Great book! It is so beautifully illustrated too! I am grateful Amazon is offering more and more bilingual resources for expat parents who want to teach their mother tongue to their kids.
