Works perfect with FL studio the right size for mobility but still big enough to make the music you enjoy. Everything is self-explanatory either on or beside the keyboard button great value for the money would recommend to anyone getting started in music/beat making Increases your productivity 100% just the right size. Bought this as a present for my (now ex) fiance. Big user of FL. Straight out of the box, the keyboard is ready to go. Just plug into the power and connect to the computer. After connecting the computer the FL software immediately started updating the necessary drivers and started interfacing with software perfectly. Well almost perfect, there were a few snags figuring out settings, but if you ask me, that had more to do with my ex's intelligence then the software. The creators clearly had ease of use and connectivity in mind making this. The piano itself felt sturdy and well made. Heavy, but not hard to move heavy. It was very easy to pack up when he moved out, just wrapped it in a blanket and carried carefully. It is very long if you get the full size. (Obviously) I myself don't know all the features it had but he was happy with it. If you like using FL and use it often, this keyboard is probably a no trainer. The value for the keyboard is fantastic too. 100% fair and not overpriced.

This MIDI controller is great for FL Studio users. Maps instantly and everything works as described. However, if you plan on using with a MacBook, like me, you will need the USB A to USB C adapter, or some sort of hub because this unit ships with a USB B to USB A cable. And most Macs don’t have the USB A ports anymore. Still five stars, but just unfortunate. Either way it’s a great product and the features, quality, and usability are unmatched at this price point ( for FL Studio.) I also use this as a MIDI controller for my Roland synth which works great. I can use this to control my software, as well as play audio from my other keyboard. So I can keep my other board off to the side and my desk is not cluttered.

I got the FLKey 37. This is my first MIDI keyboard and I really like it. I love that the pads are sensitive to your touch. You just tap it and it registers the hit. No "click" or anything, so it makes it pretty good for making drum beats. I especially love how you can play scales and even emulate a piano keyboard on the pads. The piano keys are pretty nice and the pots (the little black knobs at the top) are very satisfying to turn. The whole thing feels pretty sturdy and it seems to be constructed with good quality parts. I really love how you get some free goodies that would otherwise cost you a few hundred dollars, so the price is definitely a snag if you want an authentic-sounding piano along with several other instruments/effects. It's a really good product and it's definitely something you will want to get as a beginner. Now for some complaints. First, the velocity curve feels wrong. It takes a lot of effort to get the velocity up high. It feels wrong to me that I have to practically slam the keys to get high velocity. Of course, you can change the velocity curve in the settings (or even disable it if you want). The same goes for the pads, but you can change the velocity curve as well. That's great and I definitely recommend changing it unless you love hitting hard. Next is the key count. It's good for writing melodies, but as soon as I started playing around with it, I realized that 37 keys aren't enough if you want to play with something that has as wide of a range as a piano. It will suffice for now, but I wish that they made a version with 61 or more keys. I might end up buying another keyboard in the future for that reason. It's a shame, too, because FLKey has so much potential. The thing that really irks me, however, is the automation. You can't custom assign the pots to plugin parameters using MIDI learn as they are only programmed to do that with the stock FL Studio instruments. It's actually amusing to me that they don't even bother programming the controls for the free software that you get by buying FLKey (if you're going to team up with instrument makers the least you could do is make sure your product works with them). Being a programmer myself, however, I found out that you can mess with the settings on scripts used to control the keyboard. I can add synths that I have installed and assign the pots to certain functions that appear in the parameters section under the current project browser (I haven't tested it with effect plugins yet, so I don't know how that will go). The mod and pitch wheel are globally linked by default, meaning that you can modulate them with a bit of programming-free tinkering (they appear under the "remote control" section in the current project browser). I don't know whether or not the scripts get updated, because if they do then your modifications will be overwritten. It feels like a shoddy fix because of that and it's the reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, as most of you will likely use different synthesizers other than the stock FL Studio ones. Overall, if you are just starting out with FL Studio and expect to use the stock instruments, then it should fit you just fine. Otherwise with a bit of dirty work, you can modify it to fit your needs, but you need to have a bit of knowledge about programming so most will find it at least somewhat difficult. I really love how much more immersed you are in your music making when you get a keyboard, and the same applies to automation. By being able to use knobs instead of the mouse to control parameters, I feel that I have more control over my sounds. Because of that, I recommend you tinker around with the scripts a little (specifically, the native_pot_parameters.py in the novation/script file where the scripts for Novation midi keyboards are stored) if you want to get the most out of this product.

Awesome keyboard, been using it for about 1.5 years now. The configuration tool (Novation Components) is just a website that pushes changes directly to your keyboard, so you don't need to have 24/7 background process crapware installed like gaming mice, headsets, etc. REALLY appreciate this. The keyboard pots and faders aren't motorized (won't move on their own when you change something in FL using a mouse) but that's okay, because FL added a feature in the main settings that lets you ignore fader inputs until they're pushed to the current value FL has, which in practice makes it act almost as good as motorized faders. And if you like the colorful pads on the top left, GO LOOK IN YOUR KEYBOARD SETTINGS! You can turn up the brightness, and it looks even more epic! :P I will say, definitely get a usb extension cable if your setup has the keyboard off to the side or otherwise not right in front of your computer. The original cable length was not enough for the way I have my room set up. And you're probably buying this specific keyboard because you're an FL Studio user. Well, the octave buttons, fixed chords, and that sort of stuff works at the keyboard level, so you can still use it on websites or other MIDI-related tools. Also, that list of plugins that comes with it isn't the entire list forever-- I get emails every now and then of new plugins they add to the list of free stuff for their customers. I never ever get spam/marketing from that address, so yeah, make sure you sign up for the free goodies.

I didn't know about the FLkey until a few months ago but after I checked out reviews and functions of it i knew it was the MIDI controller I'd been waiting for since i got FL Studio in 2019. Make sure you've updated FLS to the latest update, after that it is literally plug-n-play. I just plugged it in and the software and keyboard did their thing and everything worked right out of the box. Make sure you download the manual PDF from Novations website as it goes a little in depth of how to do many things. You should also watch Novations videos on how to do stuff with it as all this will help you understand what all it can do. The keys, pads, knobs and faders feel great. The buttons can easily be pressed. You just hold the Shift button and press a pad to select what you want to control with the pads, knobs and faders. Everything is laid out in a sensible fashion. The keys feel very good, also there is enough space to play with two hands if you can do so. Everything is easily labeled on the FLkey and has clear text on the keyboard to help you navigate around it. I've had it for about a month and while I haven't gotten tons of time to use it yet it's made the time I do get on FLS even more fun. I recommend watching Benn Jordan's FLkey "No Screen" video to get an idea of what you can do when you've at least semi-mastered the keyboard, it's a great watch. 5/5 I highly recommend this MIDI controller if you're an FL Studio user.
