I normally wear a size XL in regular fit, but this sweater was way too big. The zipper was reversed and awkward to close. I also wasn’t very impressed with the quality of the fabric. I ended up returning the sweater — either I was just unlucky, or the quality of Carhartt has really gone downhill.

This was a direct replacement of the discontinued J149 Thermal-lined hooded zip front sweat shirt which was unfortunately discontinued. Though the internet posts that the 104078 is the current model, this one was closer to the J149. I can't understand why Carhartt keeps making them thinner and lighter. Not even the Carhartt website sells this 100632. The site shows "out of stock". I am so thrilled to have found this and in the color I preferred. If you hate big coats yet want to be warm, this is the hoodie you want. I'd love to find a new J149 gray but I think it's impossible.
