I love this journal! It is quality made through and through. From the tightness of the binding the overall feel of it in your hand and as you use it. The pages are awesome to write on. I journal about every 2 days so there's plenty of pages for future use. I love the look and feel of the pages. Not cheap feeling at all. But great quality. I use a Paper Mate Profile ballpoint bold 1.4MM point pen. It looks awesome on these pages and there is absolutely NO bleed through of the pages. The ornate key is heavy weight metal. It feels substantial in your hand. And I love the grey color. This journal is the perfect size for me. It's not too small and not too large. It feels quite substantial in the hand. I actually look forward to journaling with this product. I think it's a great price for what you get. Just 1 thing .. when you first start using it you may find it a bit difficult to turn the pages. But believe me, as you use it you begin to get hang of turning page by page. It you're looking for old world charm in the modern world, this is the journal for you.

I honestly have never loved a journal so much! I got the 8x6 size & it’s absolutely perfect. I chose the brown color; it looks the most vintage to me & I love it. I would love to be able to say that I can write straight enough to not need lines, but that is not even remotely true, not for my standards anyway. 😬 I love the look of blank vintage paper, but I went with the lined to avoid driving myself nuts with the uneven words in such a beautiful journal. 😆 The quality seems great; holds up very well. The paper is perfect for writing on, not too smooth where the pen wanders easily. Lastly, it is not short on pages. This thing is full of paper leaving you able to write in it for a while & not have to worry about filling it half way through your journey.

Oh my goodness! I love this journal! The price surprised me in a good way and I can now say after receiving it. I am not disappointed at all in any way. I think i seen a comment saying that this isn't real leather and doesnt smell like real leather and they said theirs smelled of oil but mine looks like real leather, feels like real leather, and smells like real leather. Doesn't smell of oil at all. Im no leather expert tho. It's well made! I love the thicker vintage looking and feeling paper. I love that there are lines on it and that there is an option to get it unlined. I love that it's more like colleged ruled. I love the key and it wrapping around the journal. It all seems to be well made. The lines are nice and visible! I just love this journal a ton and im happy I decided to purchase it. 100 percent satisfied! Thank you! 🫶🙂

It's a beautiful journal The leather is very good quality and evenly thick without thin spots or discolorations. The key is a bit chintzy so I removed that with a bolt cutter and slid in an antler tip instead. It fit perfectly in the loop so it's very secure. It's perfectly fine as it is but I chose to clean the leather with the leather honey brand cleaner and then I closed it when it still had the key and basically threw it against the concrete in order to distress it. I took some steel wool to it and I really gave the leather a good working before I cleaned it again and then conditioned it with leather honey. It now looks like it has been passed down for many generations. I will tell you that when I cleaned it the first time there was a bit of bleeding but since I was expecting that from previous reviews I found it to be a good thing. I don't like my leather to look new. It's very easy on the hands. Comfort level is high. I was surprised at the quality and find it to be a very good value for the money. I plan on buying more of these as I need them. I'm also looking into stamping the leather for the next one so that each journal will have a distinctive pattern.

The cover and binding and pages are awesome. Very beautiful and functional. Gel pens work best bc the paper is porous and absorbs ink well. My book was assembled upside-down. The top margin was on the bottom so I'm currently using the book upside-down and backwards. But still a cool notebook to have.

I have now bought three of these journals one unlined, two lined. The first was for my friend for Christmas. His daughter took it almost immediately so bought two more one for my friend, the other for me. I love the quality, softness and smell of the leather, the thickness of the paper, and the key closure. The paper has that real vintage roughened feel with the deckle edges, adding to the sense of age. Writing using a gel pen there is no bleed through or smudging. With the roughness of the paper ink pens will likely catch. I’ve glued in several charts using just a glue stick. They stuck well and did not affect the paper at all. I’m using this to journal my training for three endurance races this year. When complete it will be a beautiful reminder of the year, much more so than a more typical mass produced journal. Will definitely be using these journals moving forwards.

Great journal. Unique and very appealing. Gave to my 22 yr old grandson for Christmas. So glad I chose this journal as it's truly a beautiful keepsake.
