Simple Green 13005CT Industrial Cleaner & Degreaser, Concentrated, 1 gal Bottle (Case of 6)

I use a small Jegs parts cleaner for bicycle and lawn equipment degreasing and it requires water based degreaser. I am wary of using Brake Kleen and similar high VOC petroleum products - I don’t want to end up on a lawyer billboard saying “Brake Kleen gave me lymphoma - sue them”! This is the BEST product I have found for degreasing a range hood. A 50/50 mix with water and white scotch brite pads work exceptionally well. I’ve used this Simple Green degreaser on my gas grill as well and when combined with green Scotch brite pad inside the grill, it eats grease. Don’t use a green Scotch brite pad on the exterior of a stainless grill - it will leave scratches. As I mentioned above, I also use this degreaser in my small parts washer that takes 3.5 gallons. I mix 1.5 gallons of Simple Green with 2 gallons of water gave me the 3.5 gallons required for my Jegs parts washer and a powerful concentration of degreaser. I have a bunch of spare dirty cycle parts in my shop and I hosed them down with the Simple Green degreaser and let the parts sit for a few minutes per the label directions. I went back with a stiff parts cleaning brush that hooks up to the flexible Goose neck on my Jegs parts washer and everything I was degreasing came clean. I would advise removing large amounts of grease and grime with a metal or plastic putty knife prior to using this degreaser - it will work faster. Two notes - 1.) this degreaser has a unique odor - sort of like those pine tree car air fresheners but not exactly - I’m still trying to put my finger in the exact smell. 2.) despite being water based and having a low VOC content, this product is very irritating to skin over time, very drying and astringent. I wear gloves when working with Simple Green degreaser. The photo shows the 5 gallon jug next to a one gallon bottle so you know how large it is in person. I tipped the Amazon driver - this box weighed 50 pounds. Overall this product works really well, mixes easily with water and will alter any current odor in your shop to its unique odor. A few sprits at the interior top of our motorized screen track (we have 8 different panels), eliminated all the squeaks of the screen coming up and down the rails. This degreaser accumulated all the dirt at the bottom as it ran down the interior of the rail and the motion of the screen up and down made a sort of self-cleaning environment. A nice lubricant that makes maintenance a lot easier! Will purchase again.

Use this stuff on everything from HVAC housing to grimy elevator pits. Strong but not harsh, and the 5-gallon size lasts forever in a maintenance shop. Dilutes well, smells decent, and cuts through grime without needing heavy scrubbing.

I needed a food friendly cleaner for the patio gas grill and Simple Green was highly recommended by friends. It did not disappoint as it has a pleasant smell and quickly removed grease smears from the top, sides, and side boards of the grill. I would recommend a liberal dousing of Simple Green if you are cleaning a patio grill and I would also say to leave the solution on the grill for three to five minutes before you attempt to clean the grill. It cleaned the grill with little effort and I was so impressed that I used the cleaner on our freezer in the garage where it also produced good results. I would purchase this product again for similar needs!

Used this in a parts washer and was happy with it. Removes grease and oil and since it is lightly acidic it will remove mild surface rust (not heavy scale though). Generally it will not work as fast as solvents like kerosene or diesel would. Some brushing may be required to fully clean a part and sometimes you've got to let something soak a few days. However, since I was running my parts washer in my basement, kerosene was not an option due to the smell rapidly spreading through the house and my wife wanting to kill me. This actually has a pleasant scent to it. I've used it pretty heavily so the nice smell is gone now and I think it's cleaning slower than before, but overall I can still use it and despite it having turned black it still does not emit offensive odors.

I have been grilling or smoking for 35 years. Always an issue is keeping your grill clean. I've even loaded it up on my truck and taken it to the local car-wash. I couldn't tell you how many super-duper cleaners I've used over the years. I purchased Simple Green based on the Amazon & other reviews and I got to tell you this stuff is amazing. I just finished cleaning my smoker, when I started out with my "test" area I was concerned the this cleaner was taking off the paint. It wasn't, it actually removed 4 years of soot from the lid of it. I had forgotten what it looked like originally. I immediately purchased a gallon!

I've used this for years. I love how it cleans the stove top. Squeaky clean. They could change the scent. The one they still have is old, real old. Time for some cleaning scent that's been absent for many yrs to today smelling the exactly like it did a couple decades ago.
