Great upgrade for my old one.
I bought this to replace my old DYMO 4200. This has so many more options than my old one, and works better too. Great upgrade and investment for me.

Feature-packed unit!
Easy to use and full of options for cabling/panels/etc. I use for electrical and data work, but it can be used for anything. I owned a Dymo Rhino 4000 & 5200 previously, and sold/traded up to this one. The XTL 500 does labels up to 2" but is much more money.

Built to Fail
Worked great for a while. After about a year, I noticed the cartridges were a little loose and sometimes I would have to reseat them in order to print. It still worked so I didn't think anything of it at the time. It soon got to the point where the cartridges wouldn't hold themselves in anymore (therefore the device keeps prompting you to select a label size over and over), and I realized the little blue arm that holds the cartridge in was no longer connected to the inside of the machine. I reached out to Dymo hoping there was an option to repair devices that are past the 1-year warranty, but to my surprise their advice was to purchase a brand-new unit. Dymo offers zero support, NO repair options, and now we are left with a paperweight. Then I decided I would try to epoxy the broken piece back on. Nope. The broken plastic piece is the spindle for the blue ejector arm, so it has a lot of tension on it. It snapped off again within the first couple uses. The spindle should probably be metal. This thing is garbage, I don't recommend purchasing it.

Don't Buy this Dymo Rhino 6000+ printer - it is BAD value and quality
Worst printer I have ever used, it keeps swallowing the tape, out-of-tape errors, tape does not feed out, lots of wasted tape due to large gaps between labels.....not recommended at all. The display is very bad also, without the light it is unreadable. I am trying to get it replaced, but I guess it is >324USD wasted (plus all the tape stock that I bought).Design - very flimsy feed mechanism. BAD value for money, expensive cartridges, BAD software user interface (very limited), cannot cancel or stop a print, lots of wasted tape. Functionality is limited.

Dymo 6000+ better than the 6000?
Now remember this is my opinion only!Compared to the "old" 6000 unit this one seems to cheaply made. The program that you use is a joke, you have to start all over again for any changes. I found the manual very hard to use.On the 6000+ I have noticed shorter labels get caught and might have to open the back to retrieve them. However they work well, can use easily on the field or in the office through your computer.

Tape falls off and jams
The media could not be loaded. I recently bought this label maker but unfortunately it has been a frustrating experience. On the very first use, the tape constantly falls of and jams. I use original tapes , the ones that was in the box kit together with the printer. Despite following all instructions, the printer fails to do its job. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

No Customer Support
My labeler stopped recognizing that a cartridge was installed, so I reached out to manufacturer and still haven't received a supply. Eight month old labeler is now useless. I really sometimes products can be defective, but if the manufacturer won't stand behind their product, it creates a very bad look. Buyers beware.
