For reasons unknown and unknowable a few years ago the manufacturers of wrestling shoes stopped making them in different widths. So you have to hunt to find wrestling shoes that fit those with wide feet. After trying a number of shoes we found these.We still had to buy 1 1/2 size up - my son usually wears size 7 sneakers and we ordered 8 1/2s - but he can get the ball of his foot into the shoe and it fits comfortably.

I have flare wide feet.I normally ware men's 13 EE.Pro:Not to expensive $60.00The toe box was perfect and good ankle support.Con:Cheaper plastic materials.Not sure how it will streach out or withstand torque.Summary:I recommend the Dan Gable Ultimate 4 over Split Second 9 because of the superior traction, flex and ankle support (though not as good for wide feet).If your on a budget, than the split second 9 is a great choice. The Dan Gable also was more of a moccasin style having no actual toe box.

My son needed new wrestling shoes. Split sole is hard to find these days. He prefers these over single sole. He says it's easier to move in, a little tight at first, then good once it's broken in. They came in the box with no tags. It had clear shipping information and tracking, and it came in earlier than expected. He loved the shoes.
