4M Buzz Alarm Money Safe Kit, Multicolor

This was purchased as a gift for my 10 year old son. I was drawn to this product by its obvious appeal to pre-adolescent boys to store objects of value (money and other trinkets) to keep hidden from pesky sisters. The fact that it needs built before utilization was what cinched the deal for me. My son had a great time putting it together with only minimal guidance, and afterwards had a storage that was "sister-proof".

I purchased this safe for loose cash savings. Boy was I surprised when I opened it. This is strictly a childs safe. Must read the description from now on. Returned

This is ok. Hard to put together. Kind of flimys. My son likes it. Hopefully it lasts longer then it looks and feels like it will.

I got this for my son. I built it while he watched. To be clear, this is not secure in any way. It would take me seconds to defeat the security. That said, it was really a great simple electrical circuit. I took out the multimeter and showed him how the switches and the alarm worked. The mechanical prong that snaps closed (and completes the circuit) when you open the lock was not tight enough to reliably make an electrical connection. I had to remove it and bend it to be tighter before it worked every time. A smidge of dielectric grease would probably work too, but I didn't have any where I thought I did, but I made it work.All in all, a more interactive gift for a young child that isn't likely to be quite like any other gift. You'll need a reasonably handy adult to put it together without it being a chore. A great way to pass 30 minutes with a kid who will have something to remember that time by.

Based on reviews of other buyers, I bought 2 of these safes for 2 different children. This is a piece of plastic junk - don't buy it.The wire broke on the first one causing the alarm not to work. The second safe had another problem - the top was partially put on backwards and it was not possible to turn it around to get it on correctly.Putting this safe together is frustrating for a younger child that does not have the dexterity to manage small screws.I would not recommend this product at all. It's not worth the purchase price.

Bought this for my nerdy daughter and was a massive hit. The kit requires assembly, even of the book, and that somehow makes it even more fun. It's a complete package of entertainment including morse flash light, cipher wheel, invisible ink and so on. Highly recommended.

This product was easy to assemble for my 9 year old. My younger child always tries to sneak into it triggering the alarm to sound. The bandit’s response always makes me laugh....and he gets caught red handed!!

We bought these as a fun project for our boys for christmas. Very cheaply made. Key is platic and broke in lock. It took my husband 2 hours to put together, and not for kids to even help. Screws are small and dont fit in holes well. Combo lock doesnt catch. Alarm worked once, and with different batteries doesnt work.and broke plastic trying to fix. We put one together, but not looking forward to next.
