Well built and very aesthetically pleasing little lamp.
Bought one, used it once, bought 2 more! Really sold, compact, well-crafted and it gives off a great light. It's been running 20+ hours on a single tank on a "low" setting. Still going strong. You'll need a really steady hand or a tiny funnel for filling the tank with oil or kerosene. Really nice little lamp.

Great quality
Easy to fill, doesn't leak easily (i tested it by turning it in it's side briefly) gives off good light, beautiful construction. Base is one piece of brass so there's no seams to leak over time.

Value!
This was a score. At 39 bucks for a working brass lantern I wasn’t expecting it to be this solidly constructed. It’s beautiful. Has some heft to it. I don’t see how the fount could ever leak. I saw someone mention concern about the two thumb screws that hold bottom to the top not being secure. I’ve walked around with mine. Many pick-ups by the handle while lit and full of oil. No issues. The brass is soft enough that the thumb bolts will wear a small divot in the base (don’t worry. It’s thick brass) where they clamp to it (you can see one in the pic of the fount). I’ve only ever had to go finger tight and both pieces stay solidly connected but common sense would tell you to double check. Small, short, hook handle at top does get hot because it basically lays on top so be real careful picking up by handle after it’s been burning a while. Plenty of extra wick in the fount for lots of use b4 replacing. It throws off a warm ambient light through the crystal clear globe and is easy to adjust intensity. for use on a table it’s stable when filled.. I’m eventually gonna hang it because it’s the perfect size for hanging off a deco hook without it getting in the way.

Excellent quality.
I really am impressed with the quality and design of this lamp! Very well built looks good and no leaks due to the way it’s constructed. It provides a surprising amount of light and shields the flame nicely in the wind. If you are familiar with oil lamps you will be impressed with this one. Quality and looks

Nice heft, works great.
I bought this to burn mosquito repellent oil. It works very well for this. I like the heft, everything feels tight and well made. I expect to get many years of use out of this.

Nice bit of history
And it functions. Add lamp oil to tank, light wick & voila, instant ambient light. This is a well-made, on the heavy side, all brass lantern. The globe is glass (go figure) and the rest is that shiny brass stuff. Really cool, looks great (when shiny) & throws some serious light. Heat too, so watch it.Oh, and that history part? Yes, miners really did use lamps just like these, probably just not this one.
