If you have a need for this, it's a great item.
If you have the need to turn a light bulb outlet that is in a crowded spot into an electrical outlet - this works very well. I need it every Christmas decoration time and it has been a big help. Easy to use, well built, and functions well.

Simple Solution to make your life easier
I used this adapter to change an exterior light socket, under the eve of my house (provided light in front of the door only) into a plug so that i could plug my Edison patio string lights into it and be able to turn them on and off with the light switch....simple solution to make my life easier and not have to climb up a step stool to plug the lights in each time i want to go out on my patio.

Worked good for a month or so
Worked good until it didn’t, open neutral, had port but no ground

2 years then dead
Worked for nearly 2 years then just stopped. No warning. No fuse to reset, and hopefully no damage to the devices plugged into it.
