This is by far the best book on photojournalism, and probably the best in overall, general photography. Ken Kobre covers just about every aspect you’ll encounter in photojournalism. I worked for more than 20 years in print/online media as a photographer/reporter and I continuously turned to this book for ideas, techniques and inspiration. Got my copy today it was on pre order, while the new section on digital stories and social media are really useful for me as a Photojournalism teacher, the print quality is totally disappointing. To me the book appear more like a copied version from some original book, the title was faded with some damaged part on it, now fresh out of press are never like this. The paper and print quality inside is not friendly at all the print are very small and faint. The 3 star is for the print and damaged quality otherwise the content is all good.

Great book but the print quality isn’t very good. It made me wonder whether it’s a counterfeit. It’s a textbook essentially, but I’ve had many other textbooks that were much higher in print quality. There is a white haze over all colour images. I’m going to try to find a copy in a library to compare.
