This product is safe to spray on a lawn, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for grass, if that’s what you are asking. If applied regularly, is effective at deterring dear and rabbits from eating things In the garden that you love, like cone flowers, tulips (spray often) or other flowing plants, and it is perfectly safe to use. But I wouldn’t spray it on my lawn to protect the grass as a general protectant, unless I knew I had an animal problem specifically with eating the grass. I don't remember any tamper proof seal. As regards the smell, the concentratedoes have a strong odor, which is understandable considering its intended use.
