Great condiment on just about anything
On the sweeter side than spicy, and that's fine with me. Very generous and will last me a while before I need to order another bottle, which I'm definitely looking to do.

Tasty!
This seasoning is fantastic! It adds rich, bold flavor to every dish without being overpowering. The balance of spices is perfect, and it really elevates my cooking, whether I’m grilling, roasting, or sautéing.

ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!
For those who love hot sauce, there are 2 types of "heat". The first is "hot sauce" that is so mild that you actually age waiting for the "kick". The second is flame-thrower quality that is so hot you can't taste any flavor....and don't have a tongue afterwards either. Capital City hits it right in the middle. The first notable taste is the sweetness: not too sweet but certainly noted. Then comes the hint of sour, a mix of spices, and then the building of THE HEAT!. But it is not so hot as to detract from the initial taste. It is a consistent flavor of heat, sweet and a hint of sour. An absolutely wonderful combination! I initially tried in on hot wings. The wings themselves were spicy hot (as always) without any flavor to the heat. I added this sauce and VIOLA!, I added more and enjoyed the building of the flavor. Also noted is the residual lingering heat of this sauce that is certainly there but as it recedes, still leaves the flavor. The sauce arrived well packaged and in a plastic (and apparently reusable) container with the nice touch of a "cap" to keep the sauce from drying out and clogging the spout. The price is a bit high but after tasting it, it is worth it. The only drawback is the high shipping charge which is almost as much as the sauce itself. That in itself is disappointing. Will I reorder again? Yes, and hope that the originators of this sauce find a less expensive shipper. And yes, I do recommend this as a BUY.

Great Taste
Excellent unique taste. "Hot" is not really very hot at all. Works great on chicken sandwiches.

The one sauce stop.
Awesome condiment/sauce, great on burger's, hotdogs, egg's/omelets, anything you want to

Not bad!
This sauce is pretty good. I feel like it is ketchup based, that’s what it tastes like to me, but I could be wrong, I like the sweet and spice to it! But not 100% my favorite. But all in all I would get it again. Just my opinion.

If you like some heat
Thank you to the people of Maryland/Virginia/Washington DC. I needed to list all three as they kind all come together at different points and places geographically. It may be possible that each has their own variation of the same sauce by maybe/probably the same vocalized title. Unless you know someone from the region, have spent time there, or live there you have no idea. They do make a mild but I am clueless why ;- ). The flavor is great and goes well with everything from fish to meat and all parts in between. The best is you can control the amount of heat you desire by the amount you apply from the handy squeeze bottle. The flavor is it's own to me and I cannot describe it but to say it is not expensive, just try it !!! If you do not like any kick buy one of each. I promise if you are from another part of the country your friends &/or family will be thanking you for doing so. I usually just cook with it but it can be used just as well as an add on condiment. You will find yourself buying more heat wise or tame wise. And yes from an Army "brat" from birth, my own time served & a DAV, & some post military time in govt. service I have lived & was stationed in the area more than a couple times. Maryland style crab cakes & Capitol Sauce are two of the best of things from there. Not to slight some great people...the regulars that is.

IF YOU DON'T TRY CAPITAL CITY MAMBO SAUCE YOU'RE MISSING OUT!
This Capital City Mambo Sauce is AMAZING!! I buy chicken and cheese Flautas at Costco and just pour it on each bite. Everyone should have their own bottle😂 otherwise you'll be fighting over the Mambo sauce for your next bite! I personally like the taste of Sweet Hot Best! I went through the first two 12oz bottles so fast (twice) I had to buy the 128 oz (1 gal). Now my maintenance man is addicted! He'll be one of your next customers! Make sure you share with your friends to taste! They won't be able to go without! Just make sure you don't tell too many friends, they'll be out of stock right when you need it! 😳 😉 J.K. After you've tried your first 2 12oz bottles, I know you'll love it so save money and buy the gallon size! You won't regret..
