Fits more than you think
Used this on a 5 day city trip. Fits a lot, resists water and can be worn all day without straining your back. Just the right amount of pockets. Love the hidden one for valuables. Much more secure than a backpack when carrying it in front. Properly padded.

I ordered another sling bag (G4 small crossbody sling) and it was ridiculously small...like the size of a fanny pack. I'm sure it would be fine for, like, a trip to the grocery store or a local park though. But THIS bag! We're spending a week in Mexico City. We'll be walking and Ubering a ton and, just as in any large city, pickpockets are a thing. There will be multiple museums, a boat tour and a TON of cafes and restaurants (Mexico City has more Michelin star restaurants than any other city in North America). Unlike a backpack, you do not need to take the whole thing off to get something out...just slide it over your shoulder. When worn over your right shoulder, all of the zippers are easily accessed. It has a TON of room and organization. I plan to use this as my purse and my wallet. Also...unlike a backback...you can comfortably wear the bag on your front which is especially good when you're standing in a line, in a crowd or on public transit because, again, pickpockets! It also has an extra-safe pocket on the back...which does not face people/the world. It's a great pocket for passports. I did notice one weird thing - when worn over the right shoulder, the hidden pocket on the shoulder strap faces down. I had planned to put cash and cards there...but I don't think it will work since they might fall out when I unzip it. It will probably end up holding my phone...which is fine. One of the main compartments has a slotted organization pouch - perfect for cards. This area will probably become my wallet. Since the strap has a hook, you can easily hook the strap around a chair or bench...making it inconvenient for "grab and go" type theft. I know...I sound paranoid. That's because I am paranoid. I lived in a large city (San Francisco) and...trust me...you won't even feel it when a pickpocket unzips your bag and takes something. And you would be amazed how fast a guy can run after he's just grabbed your bag that was sitting next to you on a park bench (the term "track star" comes to mind). The trick is to make it inconvenient for them to do so...that's what this bag does. Also, since I'm the mommy (even though my kid is now *technically* an adult), I have to carry all of the stuff that nobody realizes we need until we need it: chapstick, wet wipes, spare umbrella, rain jacket(s), snacks, hat, sunscreen, extra masks, hand sanitizer, charging bank. This bag will easily fit all of that and more. And it will do so comfortably and conveniently. I'll try to remember to edit this post after our trip, but my first impressions are very, very positive. If you're on the fence regarding size, I recommend going larger. You can always pack less stuff than a bag was designed for - but not more.
