Isolate It!: Sorbothane Acoustic & Vibration Damping Film 70 Duro (0.125 x 6 x 12in) - 1 Sheet

I recently purchased Sorbothane to address the noise issue I had with my keyboard, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations! I added this to the base of an Azio MGK L80 and the sound profile the keyboard produces is amazing. This material is amazing at absorbing sound. The keyboard at one point almost echoed and key press or or stabilizer rattle that the keyboard had before adding this pad to the bottom of the keyboard.

I purchased this item to fixed a buzzing noise from my KEF Ventura 6 Outdoor All-Weather Loudspeakers. After trial and error I determined that the "acoustic vibration" was coming from the aluminum bracket that holds the KEF speakers and is attached to the outside of my house. I purchased the 70 Duro version of Sorbothane Acoustic & Vibration Damping Film since I did not want it to deform, but only to maximize the sound isolation of the speakers from the house wall that they were attached to. After I installed the 1/8 inch film between the aluminum brackets and the house (and to my pleasant surprise) ALL of the vibrating noise disappeared, leaving only the pure sound and full frequency response of these excellent outdoor speakers! This product does exactly what it is supposed to do, and truly provides acoustic and vibration isolation.

I tried to put it in my Corsair K68 to dampen the sound because I’ve seen what this thing can do but there’s literally no space inside the keyboard so It didn’t work the first time. Could have been my fault for not checking the dimensions, but I tried it on my other keyboard and it works really well. This is pretty good.

I added a layer of this between our new furnace and the filter housing, not sure how much this helps. However, the furnace is not as noisy as the old furnace (45+ years old).
