I had been buying the typical store brand safflower seed for a couple of years. I decided to give this brand a try. Let me just say, the birds know the difference. They are so happy with the seed that they continue to invite other birds from near and far to dine. The amount of birds that come to my feeder is crazy and wonderful. I am now having to buy 2 bags a month, but I’m not complaining. I’m very happy with this seed! Even though the birds were dressed their best at my feeder, they refused to pose for a picture—so you’ll have to take my word for it!😉

The media could not be loaded. This safflower seed delivers on deterring determined squirrels, which is a huge plus. Squirrels completely ignore it, giving the birds full access. Those guys can be persistent.What I Loved:1) Mostly mess free, didn't have too much of an issue with seeds around the feeder.2) Squirrel resistance: A total win. No squirrels, no drama.3) Great value: 10 pounds for the price is a solid deal. (these seeds are lighter so this is a big bag)What Could Be Better:1) Limited bird variety: While it does attract some beautiful species, it hasn’t drawn as many different types of birds as my usual suet and seed mix. This might change with time, but it’s worth noting.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a seed that keeps squirrels at bay and appeals to a select group of birds, this is a good option. It’s not the most diverse in attracting visitors, but the value and squirrel-proof nature make it a worthwhile choice at least to try.

Ever since I started using this bird seed, my yard has been full of birds! From cardinals to finches, they all seem to love it. The mix is clean, with no filler, and attracts a great variety of species. It’s fun watching them flock to the feeder every day. If you want a lively backyard full of happy birds, this seed is a winner!

After years of using black Sunflower seeds to feed our birds, I was tired of dealing with squirrels getting fat by consuming all the seeds. I switched to Safflower Seeds and no more squirrels hanging around. Song birds like the seeds but so far black birds stay away. Safflower seeds are more expensive but if you want birds and not squirrels these seeds work.

My dove loves it but I hate purchasing a huge bag. This is good quality but a smaller amount. She’s only one dove so I prefer the seed to stay fresh.
