This 9 row brush can be also used for Styling, Blow-Drying, Finishing & Detangling hair. 1.It's essential that you start with wet strands. So you should either wash your hair first, or, if you want to just refresh your curls, saturate your strands with a water-based leave-in spray. 2.After getting out of the shower, prep damp hair with the proper styling products for your texture. If you have thick hair, first apply a leave-in conditioner, then run a wide-tooth comb through your hair to gently detangle and follow with a heavier curl cream (which you can even mix with a hair oil); for thin or fine hair, skip the leave-in conditioner, and apply a curl-enhancing mousse or light cream. 3.Turn the brush so the pins face up, then working in sections. If you have thicker hair, smaller sections will add definition and volume, For thinner hair, use larger sections. and starting at the root, slide the brush down the length of the your hair, tucking the brush under as you approach the ends. Once you remove the brush, give the hair a good scrunch, before moving onto the next section. After the whole head is whipped into ringlets and properly scrunched, you can go in and break up curls and twist smaller sections as needed. 4.Alternatively, for those with hair types 2A through 3B, Work in sections and twirl your hair around the brush. If the section forms a perfect ringlet, great! If not, you need to twirl your brush in the other direction. 5.Finish by diffusing your hair and twisting the ends with a light oil or pomade (if you have types 2A to 3B), or drying your hair naturally or with a hooded dryer, then twisting the ends with a heavier oil or butter (if you have types 3C through 4). 6.You can remove rows from the brush According to your hair type and texture. In general, the more pins there are in the brush, the finer you brush your hair. Many women have adapted the Brush in such a way that there are alternating rows.

Alternative to denman brush

Perfect brush for my curls! I never used a brush for years and years of not wanting to “brush out my curls” but once I have started using it right after washing my hair my curls have never looked more precise and curlier. Defiantly recommend

This Company Has Worth!

Very responsive company willing to actually reach out to a customer and resolve any issues and improve. This was a great styling brush when it came to price, shipping speed, and design, however the handle snapped after 3 months. But the company issued me a full refund to purchase another brush as they are always working to enhance durability and quality. Would absolutely buy from them again, 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Beautiful purple color, but bristle tips are a bit too sharp compared to other brands of same design

I'm giving this brush three stars because I LOVE, love, love that the color is purple! The brush itself is gorgeous. Where it loses the other two stars is that the bristles unfortunately are quite sharp and pointy. Let me hasten to add that I have used Denman brushes (which are an excellent name brand brush that this brush is clearly based on) for many years and, while the design is identical, the bristle tips are just a little less sharp and pointy, and more rounded. I'll keep this brush because, again, I LOVE the purple color I ordered, but I'm disappointed in the sharpness/pointyness of the bristles. Maybe I'll get used to it but so far I'm not totally loving it.

Unexpected bonus

I bought this because I had seen similar brushes used to help create curls in wet hair. My hair is wavy and takes some coaxing to form curls. I have not been able to successfully use it the way I have seen in videos. I still love it though. It has the unexpected bonus of letting me dry my hair quicker. I flip my head upside down and brush through it. it feels like I get a good scalp massage, and it works as a squeegee to pull water out of my hair. When I’m done, the ends of my hair are dripping wet again. I just take my towel and remove that excess water. It hasn’t really made my hair more curly, but I do tend to have less frizz , especially in the back underneath. It’s very easy to clean the hair out of. The hair just seems to lift right out. If there was a bunch in there, you also have the option of sliding it out of the handle. I have not removed any of the bristles. It seems to work well for me the way it is.

Works well on dry hair

I know this is supposed to be comparable to the Denman brush, but I don't blow dry my hair, so I don't know. I also have wavy hair and not curly, so using the brush to define hair families isn't a thing for me. However, I do very much like it for brushing my wavy hair after it's dry. Gets to the scalp and doesn't pull, even at the ends.
