This was wonderful for our party- I received so many compliments!I am 5'3 and wear a size 16 and ordered the Plus size XL - it was a bit large - and very long - so I just cut off the bottom and reattached the ribbon across the front and it was perfect!I also didn't want to hold up the side panel all night so I drapped it across the back and used the included pin to attach to the shoulder! Sheer material so I wore nude leggings underneath.

I LOVED this! As a bigger girl, it's not easy to find costumes that fit well and look nice, but this was awesome! It really did compliment my body and it wasn't the usual cheap costume material, it's a heavy nice fabric. The arm cuffs are a little goofy, they're elastic on one side and then the fabric on the other and they barely fit on my 4 year old so I don't really understand their place in the costume, but it looked awesome enough without it that I didn't mind. For me, even though I'm pretty busty, I needed to wear a t-shirt underneath to keep from there being too little coverage, but it might be to some peoples' preference.Overall, I loved it. I'm trying to find another excuse to wear it!

Fit was true to size. Very beautifully made. Very comfortable.

I received this last night and was pleasantly surprised with this item. The positives: the material, though light and sheer on the white side, is not as transparent on the burgundy; the majority of this dress is burgundy. The entire back of the dress is burgundy and has a full coverage back. This facilitates wearing the appropriate nude colored undergarments/shapewear for this costume if needed. As stated in other reviews, if nude undergarments are worn, they don't show through. At 5'5" it does skim the floor just a bit with me wearing flat gladiator sandals I already own, but thats part of the look. I don't think I will invest in any tailoring; if the length is just unbearable, a quick fashion-tape fix is possible.The negatives: these costumes do seem to run small. I'm a curvy size 12/14, but DD on top. Based on measurements I ordered the 2XL. The top was big and gapped a bit; use of the medallions (which are plastic) will be required to achieve the look in the photo and gather up the material a bit to close the gaps at the bust and underarm. However, from the empire waist down, its snug. Without the wrap around sash effect, I would be concerned. But the wrap sash does the work of concealing and drape in the right places. Thank goodness there is just a single 1/2 panel of white material due to transparency. The armbands are merely a scratchy piece of ribbon that only go 1/2 way around. The rest is just two thinner straps of black elastic used to compelete the circle of the band. They fit my arms but they only look right if your standing very still and in a forward looking position. Any real movement and its clear you have mostly elasic on your arms. The ends of the ribbon are scratchy and are beginning to fray. This will almost certainly bother me throughout the night so I may not wear them.Overall, I am glad I made this purchase. For the price it is a nice costume. The accessories, however, are cheap and take away from the overall nice look of the costume. The overall look is stylish and flattering to those that are curvy and busty and will look great for the party I'm attending.

I really think I was supposed to be a Roman! The fit was amazing!

I’m not small, I get that, but I went by the measurements and it should have been fine. I’m a typical 18 in women’s sizes, so I thought it would be fine. It fit, but it was just too snug to be comfortable. The white fabric is pretty see through also. I ended up returning it. It’s cute, but it wasn’t going to be comfortable enough to wear for a whole party.

Wasn’t sure about the size but read reviews saying to go up a size and it fits great across the bust area. It’s a little long but I can wear a pair of wedges to fix that since I’m not crafty at sewing. Arrived on time with prime.

Great costume for a toga party! It is well made and comfortable. True to size - I’m a 3x. I made a few minor tweaks to the drape. I draped it around the top back & pinned it to the shoulder. Worked out great!
