I was so impressed with this water marbling kit that I ended up ordering 4 of them. The paints float beautifully, the colors stay vibrant and the kids were able to create eye‑catching designs right away without frustration. The instructions are clear, the tools are sturdy and the setup is simple enough that multiple children can work at the same time. Cleanup is quick, which I really appreciate when using this for group activities. These kits make excellent gifts and are perfect for creative play sessions.

I am sure we have all seen those 'hydro-dipping' videos of recent times where they take ordinary objects, dunk them in a tank with a printed film floating on the surface and wrap the item in the pattern. This is basically that! I was skeptical at first as we have been burned by many craft projects that are either too complicated or don't give the expected results, but this kit is pretty awesome! In the box you get a dipping tray, 6 coloured inks, plenty of paper sheets (it is just ordinary paper), several tools to aid with marbling (including tweezers for removing the paper from the tray) and 3 packs of special powder. The powder itself will do many, many applications. You use one scoopful (scoop provided) per use, and we did 10 different sheets in a single turn and there was still plenty of liquid left in the tray. you literally get hundreds and hundreds of uses out of this! One thing to note, the solution (which is powder and water) needs several hours to fully dissolve before it is ready for use. I ended up with quite an upset 8 year old who wanted to try this out but had to wait for the next day! so prep the mixture in advance! Fortunately, once mixed you can store it for long periods. What you end up with is a slightly thick water which you pour into the tray ready for use. Then its a case of going to town with your coloured ink! the bottles are designed to allow good control of a single drip onto the tray, which then blooms out like oil on water. Add as many drips as you want then use the tools to create swirls and shapes until you are happy. Once complete you simply lay a sheet of paper on top of the water for 3 seconds and remove. I was quite surprised that the paper took all of the ink from the solution and left it completely clear ready for another go, and was definitely not as messy as i had worried about, in fact we didnt make any mess at all. We let the sheets dry on kitchen towel overnight and ended up with some beautiful pictures. My daughter was mesmerized at how well this worked, as were myself and my wife! Most craft kits go on the shelf after a single try but we will definitely be using this again, making sure that next time we prepare the solution ahead of time!

I bought this for my six year old granddaughter and she is really enjoying it. The mixture does take some time to prepare. I think warm water and the powder added after might help instead of powder in first. However the mixture made up lasts for ages. The inks will stain clothes ,beware! Though a scrub with Vanish or equivalent will remove them. The effects are really nice and easy for her to do by herself with supervision. Have large sheets of paper handy to dry the wet paper on and we cut up some A4 in half once the original paper ran out. Would be good if you could buy extra ink bottles!

This product works brilliantly was sure it would work as well, but was amazingly surprised by the quality of the art work it can produce. Definitely well worth the value. And do recommend for any adult or kids that love arts and crafts. I used the bottle mixed suggestion 500ml with two spoons and left it over night so more than 6hrs. But it works. The intensity of colours depends on how many drops of colour you place in the area, but you can get light pastel effect of rich colours. See photos this is how many my kids did with just 500ml . So it got a good Longevity.

A fun gift

Bought for 10yr son to do during half term. The fact you have to wait 6 hours for the solution to dissolve before being able to use it is a negative but I set it up over night ready for the morning. You mix the colours you want and use the tools Which were great however, the colours you use stay there hence you can create a different one without starting again. After doing 6 different pictures my son got bored and left me to clean up!!!! Fun for 15 mins but that was it. I liked all the equipment is within the box so you don’t need to buy extra. Just wish son lasted longer.

Great product - follow instructions to the letter and it'll work perfectly! So easy to do, mix the water with powder 6 hours before, or the evening before you want to use it. 250ml did us 8 pictures, although I probably could've got 2 more tbh! Note, this is a size A5 boxset, the tray fits A5, not A4 as I was expecting, but it's not a problem at all! I suddenly remembered doing this activity at primary school 30 odd years ago and was happy to discover this product so I can show my young daughter! She loved it, 4½ years old and after 4 or 5 practices, I let her do the whole thing herself, from dripping the paint, using the tools to make patterns, to placing the paper and plucking it out. I also add that it is not messy at all, unlike real painting, clear up afterwards was 3 minutes max! I recommend this product, It's the first and only brand I've bought so I have no comparison, but I can certainly vouch for this! Only downside there are only 6 colours, I would like buy an array of colours of this brand but not sure where to find them! Pictures are still wet and don't really do it justice, I'm very pleased with the outcome!

War zum Kinderbesuch meiner Tochter ein tolles Highlight. Habe mich bewusst dafür entschieden, es nur mit wenigen Kindern zu machen, da es doch Dreck verursacht. Aber die Ergebnisse sind toll und die Mischung ist einfach zusammen zu stellen. Die Kinder haben sich gefreut. Sie haben gleich einmal eine "Ausstellung" gemacht und ihre Lieblignsbilder und Optiken darunter bewertet.

Trés belles couleurs, pas d'odeur, sympa avec les enfants; les encres sont trés bien, mais les papiers prédécoupés du kit sont de mauvaise qualité, mieux vaut en prendre d'autres genre papier à dessin en 80g

Purchased as a Christmas present for a grand daughter. She loved it. Quality was quite good. The product arrived well before Christmas. Would recommend for kids around 6 years old and above.
