Works better than safety pins for my dresses. The punctured hole is not visible after the barb is in the fabric. I took a chance after reading the negative reviews and I'm glad I did. The external neddle popped out, I had to figure out how to reposition it facing the correct direction, and it started working just fine.

I got it mostly for a trip. I was going to close a gap in my shirt with it, and it worked great. Used it to put on a button that popped off, and tacked a hem. Great to have around.

Only used a few times before the needle broke.

I bought it, tried using it for the 1st time and it doesn't work. The plastic attachers break before going all the way through the needle. Unfortunately, I'm 5 days passed the return date. Lesson learned, try out the product before actually needing to use it.
