Ho acquistato questo registratore per poter effettuare registrazioni live dei concerti del mio coro polifonico. Per il momento l'ho utilizzato in un solo concerto e in alcune prove ma il risultato è stato fantastico!!! E' di facile utilizzo (anche per chi è poco esperto in materia) e garantisce un ottimo risultato (ovviamente la qualità non è da sala di registrazione però è comunque ottima) con il rumore di fondo pressoché nullo. Presumo che l'incidenza del rumore di fondo sia anche determinata dalle condizioni più o meno favorevoli dell'ambiente di registrazione tuttavia il risultato ottenuto in un concerto con un pubblico di circa 300 persone, con la collocazione del microfono nella corsia centrale (quindi vicinissimo al pubblico) a circa 6-7 metri di distanza dal coro, è ottimo! Io l'ho collocato sul treppiede della macchina fotografica ma, acquistando un piccolo Zoom MA-2 Adattatore , si può usare una normale asta per microfoni. Prima utilizzavamo un sistema che collegava una serie di microfoni ad un registratore tramite mixer. Il risultato era che prima di ogni concerto, qualcuno di noi doveva occuparsi della collocazione dei microfoni e della regolazione del mixer: un metodo poco pratico insomma (senza considerare la quantità di cose da trasportare, se si pensa anche alle aste per i microfoni) e dai risultati non eccelsi in quanto l'audio registrato manteneva sempre una presenza importante di rumore di sottofondo che noi, inesperti non eravamo in grado di togliere. La confezione arriva completa di tutto perché il registratore sia pronto all'uso. Contiene e 2 pile stilo AA, una scheda microSD da 2 GB con il suo adattatore (l'alloggiamento nel registratore è per SD), il cavetto miniUSB per il collegamento al PC ma anche per l'alimentazione in caso di necessità e un cappuccio in gommapiuma per i microfoni (che non ho ancora provato ad utilizzare). Per l'utilizzo senza batterie occorre acquistare a parte l'adattatore USB per il collegamento alla rete elettrica (il caricabatterie di un cellulare va benissimo). E' possibile collegare degli auricolari per sentire in presa diretta il segnale proveniente dai microfoni ma il registratore possiede anche un piccolo altoparlante (ovviamente molto limitato) che consente di ascoltare le tracce registrate. Rispetto ai modelli inferiori, questo modello ha la possibilità di cambiare la testina con i microfoni inserendone altri con caratteristiche differenti a seconda delle proprie esigenze. Per il momento, a me vanno benissimo i microfoni in dotazione.

Ok so I used to be a 'Tascam man'. I loved their recorders and didn't want to switch to another brand. Stupid I know but you know what it's like when you like a certain brand. Anyway I decided on the H5 and man what a recorder this is! The main thing that pulled me in was the interchangeable microphones coupled with the portability. Owning one of these meant I could sell my microphones and other recorders, both hand held and studio, and just use this instead. Just as long as the quality was good enough. Oh and it was too! OK so it's not a small recorder. If you're looking for a dictaphone then, although this works well, it's not pocket sized. It does come with a hard case included though, but it would require a bag or carry case to put it into if travelling or on the move. So although it is large it fits in one hand comfortably. I has all the usual connections; headphones, line out, USB, and a remote connecter. It also has two XLR's at the bottom. The mic capsule at the top of the device also has a Line In 3.5mm jack. The device requires 2 AA batteries (included) or you can power via USB using a power bank if you wish! The design of the unit is sort of retro with buttons and knobs rather than just having a large screen with stylish, modern looking interface. It is simple and effective and functional which is all you want and need. You have a large GAIN dial for each XLR input as well as GAIN dial for the mic capsule at the top. You have limiters and compression settings in the menu systems that you can set for all mic inputs or just the ones you want separately. On the back of the unit is the battery compartment and a standard tripod screw hole so you can attach this to a tripod, boom pole or a cold shoe adapter. What I have done is bought the MOVO suspension mount and connected that to a handle grip. This way there is little to none handling noise transferred to the recordings. If you hold this device in your bare hands while recording you will almost certainly have unwanted noises recorded whenever you move a finger on the body of the unit. This is true for all handheld recorders so be sure to order a shock mount too! So testing it out I found the quality is awesome. When processing the audio (using Audacity mainly) I found by adding a low noise filter (which was hardly needed for most recordings but I always do this anyway) and amplifying the recording it produced extremely professional results. The best I've ever been able to achieve from a portable recorder in any case! I have done a lot of vocal speech testing and man does this sound good! You won't be disappointed I'm sure! I also did some sound effects samples and ambient recording samples. It handled everything with ease and was able to reproduce the sound just as I heard it. I am very happy with it. It is also very good with batteries. The same ones I put in when I opened it are still in there now! And I've used this for a good few hours! Just WOW. That's where Tascam could learn a few things as their recorders are known for bad battery life. But no problem with the Zoom H5! Recommended - YES Sir-Re Bob!

Der Recorder wird mit einer Schutzhülle, Kabeln, Batterien, einer 2GB SD Karte, dem Mikrofonaufsatz und einem Windschutz geliefert. Bei der Anleitung befinden sich auch Lizenzcodes für Cubase LE und Wavelab LE. ____________ Funktionen: Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach und die Menüführung ist übersichtlich gestaltet. Anleitung lesen schadet aber nicht ;) - Man kann zwischen MP3 bis 320kbps und Wave 96khz / 24 Bit wählen. Außerdem stehen verschiedene Kompressoren und Limiter zur Verfügung. Auch wenn der Limiter an ist, sollten die Mikrofone trotzdem gepegelt werden, da es sonst zur Übersteuerung kommen kann!! Das Gerät verfügt über 2 XLR Eingänge die auch für Klinke dienen und einen Line In Eingang am Mikrofon Aufsatz. Der Mikrofonaufsatz der mitgeliefert wird ist meiner Meinung nach sehr gut - allerdings im Pegel bis maximal 8 - danach ist ein leichtes Rauschen zu hören. Man kann bei Aufnahmen bis zu 4 Spuren aufnehmen (2 XRL und die beiden Mikros vom Aufsatz) Zusätzlich bietet der ZoomH5 auch die Möglichkeit es als USB Audio Interface zu nutzten. Funktioniert sehr gut und hat direktes Monitoring über den Kopfhörereingang. Das ist auch nötig, da die Latenzzeit schon sehr hoch ist... Aber die Funktion ist sehr nützlich. Für Musiker sind auch ein Metronom um ein Stimmgerät vorhanden (Chromatisch, Gitarre, Bass und diverse Stimmungen wie Open G etc...) Ich ich persönlich sehr schön finde ist die "Backup" Funktion, bei der parallel zur richtigen Aufnahme ein Backup mit - 12db erstellt wird - so kann man bei Übersteuerung sicher sein, dass man eine unversehrte Aufnahme hat. Man kann über die Knöpfe auf der Oberfläche ganz einfach die gewünschten Mikros auswählen, die Aufnahme starten und auch anhören. _____________ Audio-Qualität: Klar ein leichtes Rauschen ist zu hören - aber hatte bislang keinen Recorder, der komplett rauschfrei war - und dieser Zoom H5 gehört zu den rauschärmsten die ich je in der Hand hatte. Bislang habe ich mit dem Tascam Dr40 , Dr100, dem Marantz 620 und 661 und dem Roland Edirol R09 gearbeitet. Allerdings sollte man das Gerät bei der Aufnahme mit den "internen" Aufsteckmikro nicht oder nur ganz fest in der Hand halten, weil jede kleinste Bewegung zu hören ist. Bei einem Interview nicht so dramatisch, weil die Sprache dieses Störgeräusch übertönt! Aber besser das Gerät abstellen oder ein externes Mikro nutzen. Vom Sound her klingen Stimmen sehr schön ausgewogen und voll. Mehr gibt nicht zu sagen! Fazit: Der bislang beste Recorder, den ich hatte - Absolut überzeugend - auch wenn andere Recorder (Tascam Dr-100 / Marantz 661) mehr Funktionen haben - dieser Recorder verzichtet auf unnötigen Schnick-Schnack und überzeugt im Klang und der Leistung. Nach Kauf sollte ein FirmwareUpdate auf 2.0 gemacht werden. Firmware kann man sich bei Zoom Runterladen und die Bin Datei auf die SD ziehen. Und dann den Recorder mit gedrückter Play-Taste anschalten!

Väldigt nöjd. Inspelningarna låter väldigt bra. Den inbyggda högtalaren är tyvärr inget att gå efter, men hörlursingången funkar som den ska. Skulle rekommendera att man köper till deras utomhusstrumpa, då den som medföljer är i de tveksammaste laget, men å andra sidan hade jag inte räknat med att få med någon strumpa, så de är ju trevligt att de skickar med något.
