I was looking for a clear hard shell protector case for my 2021 16” MacBook Pro M1 Max laptop. I initially used the laptop without any hard shell protection for a couple of months after buying it but I was worried about getting scratch marks and found myself constantly wiping off smudges. This shell case is completely clear, thin without being too thin, it fits the laptop perfectly and securely and it is designed not to block any cable ports, air vent (or speaker) openings or restrict the full opening and closing of the lid. It is also easy to remove and reinstall if necessary. The completely clear case allows me to see the beauty of the laptop the way Apple intended it to be and makes the laptop a bit thicker but only marginally. This case also comes with 4 pre applied high quality rubber feet for the bottom panel that offers great traction when placed on a hard smooth surface - as good as the factory laptop feet. It also comes with an extra set of 4 feet for future use when replacement is needed - a nice touch.This case will is perfect for protecting your laptop from scratches and smudges. It will not (and is not designed to) protect your laptop from being dropped on a hard surface like a thick Otterbox style case would. If you’re the type of person that needs rugged protection or are prone to having your laptop fall off your desk on to a hard floor, this case is NOT for you.The case is made of plastic that I would imagine will scratch easily and possibly develop stress cracks over time. It may eventually require replacing every couple of years but for the price (especially compared to the cost of the laptop) this is an ultra inexpensive way to keep your laptop in new condition. 5 easy stars!

I just wanted the case without keyboard or screen covers. It is a perfect fit for my 16-inch MBP M1max. Nice thick plastic and looks better than cases I had on other computers.

Am updating review & changing rating the day after receiving. Appeared the lower cover of MOSISO Case (Release A2485 M) compatible with 2021 MacBook Pro 16" didn't attach to the bottom of our new Mac in the rear. It does connect to the underside, however, at the vent ports so the shell will not slip off the computer when in a user's lap. Am no longer returning for refund.

Using this for about a month and no problems so far. Hasn't fallen off or anything like that. Fits very nicely. If you're using an m1 MacBook heating is not really an issue . I haven't noticed any problems with ventilation. Sometimes I see my fingerprints on the case, but overall I really like it

The corner of the lid the plastic already broke off and I’m not sure how as it’s either in my bag or on my laptop stand.

This looks great on my Macbook Pro 16 M1 Max. It gives my laptop a glossy look. The case is thick enough to add some protection from scratches.

I anticipated a clear, protective, hard shell that would look like the computer itself. And that's what arrived.

This hardshell case gets good reviews, both from purchasers and from editorial blogs. I ordered one for my 16" MacBook Pro and am generally pleased. However, the lid portion had a couple of indelible scratches on the inside and a few finger prints. I cleaned the inside of that lid and simply put on my laptop as opposed to returning the item, because fortunately the scratches don't show once the shell case is on my laptop's lid. Fortunately, the color I chose is black, and that's probably why. But I would have preferred a lid that didn't have any scratches on the inside.
