This is a high quality torch as you would expect from this manufacturer. First thing to be aware of is that in the UK this torch IS NOT supplied with batteries. However they can be bought on Amazon, I bought a pack of 2 generic brand and they work fine. The second thing to note is that the batteries have to be removed from the torch to be charged. This helps ensure the water resistance of the torch. The batteries I bought are charged with a small USB cable, they were supplied with a Y cable to charge both at the same time. The third thing is that this torch can get quite hot in use at the LED end. The torch is comfortable to grip, has an excellent and strong clip, easy to use controls and a one push strobe for self defence. As I am often out in the dark in places that have had 'incidents' having this feature is important for me. And it is effective. I have a number of torches and this one is a good compromise for any type of situation from emergencies at home to camping.

The torch is everything you would expect. It's very bright, the cycling between modes is easy to operate, the lock function is useful and simple. The side by side battery position suits the torch, it fits nicely in my hand. Obviously when you put it on full power the LED gets hot, but the rest of the torch sinks the heat away. There's enough modes between extended battery life to brighter than a supernova to meet every light need I've had without it taking 15 minutes to cycle through them all. No issues at all with the torch and I have no issues recommending it. Brill.

I bought this to replace a Sunwayman of similar design that had died. Initially I thought there was a problem with the torch but after much Googling and asking advice I bought high capacity 18650 batteries and it works fine. The ones I already had couldn't supply enough power, so be aware of that. The fact that the buttons are at the end of the torch rather than on the side make it a little fiddly to press them if you have your hands full. On the old Sunwayman the button was there under my thumb as I held it. I wanted to get a 2-cell side-by-side which is why I got this one as there appears to be limited choice for that design. I'm happy with it - I'd just move a button if I could.
