I really recommend this applicator! It works beautifully and my back is no longer itchy because of dry, winter skin. It is also very well made, looks nice in my bathroom, and easily stays neat and clean. Probably my favorite purchase this year. I highly recommend it.

I think this works well. The handle is curved, so you don't need maximum shoulder mobility. Which is good for people like me who have had multiple surgeries on both shoulders. I was a bit apprehensive when I read the negative reviews about how harsh the pads were. I was going to buy extra pads, but I held off just in case I had the same experience. The best description I read in a review was that it's like the material they make the bottom of flip-flops out of. However, these pads are thicker, which makes them much more rigid. I didn't have any issues or problems with the texture. My best guess is that it depends on how sensitive your skin is. If it's fairly sensitive, I could see where it would be uncomfortable. Otherwise, it'll likely feel fine. The only issue I ran into is that I didn't do a very good job of creating a thin, even coating of lotion. I had little globs here and there. This is operator error, not an issue with the pads. I'm sure that with careful application and more time spent with it, it would be fine. But I'm pretty impatient. The pads are double-sided. I'm guessing they'll last a long time. Though I didn't buy extra pads because I was worried about how they'd feel based on some reviews, I was glad I didn't. I think these will last.

I gave this four not five stars for one thing, the handle could be curved a bit more. I use this to apply lotion to my back. For the most part it works but as you may or may not know when you lift your arms for back application, your shoulder blades curve hence lotion does not get applied 100%. All in all works in 90%, good for extremely dry skin.

This lotion applicator works great and is very easy to use. I can finally reach the areas on my back that I could never reach before. The handle is comfortable and the pads are soft. Really helpful and definitely a good product.

Perfect for applying lotion to your back. The pads aren't very absorbent, which is good! It allows the lotion to spread on your back rather than being absorbed by the pad. I recommend this. Oh, and it comes with several extra pads. Should last a long time since you can rinse the pads off after using.

I bought this to help reach hard to reach spots to moisturize and use self tanner. The handle is well made and sturdy, made of wood. The applicators are good but I wish they were more flexible and softer so that it flowed with your skin more but the shape is a bit rigid. It isn’t hard or harsh on the skin at all, I just wish it curves a bit more with the skin, is that makes sense. But it definitely helps for hard to reach spots!

It’s not a sponge it has just the needed texture to apply your lotion it washes off clean. You will be surprised how well this simple applicator works. My winter dry back loves it. Throw your back scratcher away.

Works perfectly! No more itchy back. This product makes it super easy to apply lotion to my own back and is easy to clean. It does have an odd texture, like styrofoam, but it does the job very well.
