It is a great little connection kit, but this is for more permanent connections and i needed a temporary connection to hook up a mr heater to a 15 lb. propane tank that i would be taking off and on for a temporary way to heat a house while working on the furnace. this does not fit a propane tank but would work for hooking directly into the gas line in a house.

works good. Be mindful of how much hose you need. I thought this would be enough and for the most part it works, but I probably should have gotten a slightly longer one to allow for more room when pulling my gas dryer out.

Worked perfectly for a propane heater I was installing in our basement. It had all the fittings I was needing to connect to the heater and my black steel gas line.

First, if you don't know what you're doing, don't attempt any work on your gas line without some kind of training or professional guidance, even if that professional is your brother-in-law. Gas isn't for DIY. But if it was, this kit would be a cheap solution to replace the valve and line when you swap out that old gas range for a new one. All the parts fit together, used standard thread types, and fit the first time without any leaks.
