Really adaptable gym equipment
I usually don't write reviews, but the Evogym is really quite good. I've been using it for about 3 months now and have been exceptionally pleased with it for a number of reasons: 1) There is a huge variety of exercises you can do with it and once you get a feel for how to load and unload each exercise, it feels safe and secure. (Use a wide stance with any heavy lifts.) 2) The ability to gradually increase weight for progressive overload is fantastic. I've seen really noticeable results in my arms, legs, back, and chest. And you can really load it up for deadlifts and squats. 3) I had a band break on me, because of a mistake I made. The company replaced them despite me admitting my error and said that they stand by their product no matter what. They even gave me updates on the shipping progress of the replacement. And they sent me 2 instead of 1. 4) I don't use this anywhere but at home, but it's nice and small and I can slide it under the bed in a second. It's easily portable for any sort of driving trip. Not sure I'd put it in a suitcase and on a plane, but you could. I just think all the bands might worry TSA. 5) The overall construction feels solid. The base plate is good. The bar is 3 pieces, but it's rock solid and the padding is holding up well. The handles are plastic, but seem solid. The leg straps are easy to put on and take off. Overall just a really solid piece of gym equipment that has helped me get in surprisingly good shape. It's hard when you start loading up weight and that's perfect!

Good home gym equipment especially for small spaces
A really good home gym equipment, though it requires some learning curve. Once adapted, it works really nice and easy to assemble and disassemble very good especially for people who lives in a small space like me.

Great home gym!
I really enjoy using this home gym! It folds up for easy, compact storage and though it is a simple system, it makes for a killer workout! My main motivations for buying this were cost efficiency, ease of use, and efficient storage, as I have limited space. It has checked all these boxes for me and I especially like that it provides the option to use a barbell or handles. My favorite exercises to perform using this have been squats (front and back), overhead press, and cable flies and reverse flies. Deadlifts and chest presses are the only exercises that seem to be suboptimal on this system, but using some creativity, you can overcome this (doing banded pushups and crossovers still pump up the chest and if you loop 1 or 2 bands on both sides, as you would for a banded push up, you could use this resistance for deadlifts). Also, the platform and bar are sturdy and the overall quality is very solid. I would recommend this item for those looking to get in a good workout from home without breaking the bank or taking up too much space.

If you don’t regularly go to the gym, don’t skip out on this.
And if you do regularly go to a gym, having the EVO Gym is still an indispensable tool that’s always a moment away, whether you’re in the living room or out of town. I’m not a gym person, at all. Merely commuting to and from a place to work out is never part of my itinerary. The EVO is a very low-cost investment, and puts access to strength and resistance training at my fingertips, whenever I’m ready. It’s quick and easy to set up. And even if you don’t fold the platform down, everything requires very little space. The best part is, this is a complete kit with a multitude of exercises that strengthen the entire body. It’s no-nonsense and works well. Even if you already exercise and mostly do cardio, this is the perfect opportunity to easily and regularly add some strength training to your routine. Functional, affordable, reliable, fast. You will not find a better and more complete set for the money.

Game Changer
I’m not one to write reviews, but I had to review this product. I have been using it for about a month now, with no intention to stop soon. I’ve bought resistance bands several times before, but this combination of the base and the resistance bands are phenomenal. I’ve been wanting to purchase a power rack for a long time now, but I just don’t have an area where I can leave it and it not be in the way in some shape way or form (besides my garage which is either way too hot or way too cold). Enter the Evo Gym. As a background, I’ve been lifting for about 13 years in a variety of styles, weights, body weight, resistance bands, gymnastics (just ring work). My preference is actual weights. Or it was. First of all, the Evo gym is portable. You can bring it with you. The base folds up nicely, and it comes with a bag to throw all the accessories (bands, door anchor, etc) into. I throw it under my bed or in a closet until I’m ready to work out again. I travel a fair amount, so whenever I am driving you can bet this is coming with me. This is one of the reasons I gravitate towards these kinds of products, as I try to keep a regular routine. The more obstacles I face in working out (example being driving to the gym, packing for the gym, it’s snowy out, it’s rainy out, etc), the harder it is for me to get after it. Having it at home eliminates excuses. Second of all, I love the way it has scalable measures of progress. We all know that progressive overload is the best way to get more muscle, but I adore the way this works. You just count the notches and the weight in resistance in your training notes, and try to beat your reps from last time as you progress. I also love that you can micro-load, by notching up one more on whatever movement it would normally be on (that way you are getting a little bit more resistance at the end of the movement where it most difficult, which is one of the perks of resistance bands). Third of all, I love the sheer amount of exercises I can do with this. You can do a ton of exercises with traditional loop bands but you have to step on them, and then you have to guess where you were last time with hand placement. Some people can intuitively find that sweet spot of getting the proper amount of resistance, but I like to track closely, and guessing where I was last time always bothered me (which I think explains my preference for traditional weights). With this, I know that I was on notch 3, with 60 pounds of resistance. I can put the 10 on there and make it heavier. If 10 is too much, slide up to the next notch and then micro-load it in that way like I mentioned above. To be fully transparent, I have not used the door anchor or ankle attachments so I cannot vouch for those. Like my earlier comment about traditional loop bands, it feels subjective to what resistance might be that day (anything that involves taking a couple steps away to get it to where you needs to be I have trouble tracking). I exclusively have been training always using the base as I primarily prefer compound movements for most of my exercises and all my additional isolation movements can be met with the base somehow. Evo Gym’s videos are extremely helpful for figuring out the correct way to hit whatever you are trying to target. Their overall presentation has been phenomenal and I love the manual that came with it. Everything has been functioning well, and it seems like the creator My only complaint is that I wish the base had a way to somehow latch close. I’m sure I can think of something to fix that, but it would be nice if there was a magnetic seal on it somehow. If you have low space at your house or apartment and enjoy working out at home or travel on the road, I can’t recommend this enough. It has truly been game changing for me. I’m not looking at Rogue’s Power Racks weekly anymore, and that is saying something. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. You can tell this was developed by somebody that loves working. As a fellow lifter, busy dad, and frequent traveller, thank you!

I can definitely say I am presently surprised
I have been using adjustable free weights for the better part of the year, but I was finding it difficult to progress, especially heavy compound exercises, with the limited amount of weight and handles I had. Space was also a big concern for me as I didn't have anywhere to put a power rack, let alone all the equipment to go along with it. This product solved both those issues for me. At first, I was a bit skeptical about using bands for the first time, but they turned out to be extremely versatile and durable. After three months of exclusively using the EVO Gym to work out, I can definitely say I am presently surprised with both the quality of the product and the progress in muscle gain that I was able to make with it. The bands and the platform seem well-built, so they should last for some time if treated properly. I think the bands work best with high reps, which lets you get crazy good pumps. It could work for heavy strength training; it has the available resistance, but I wouldn't say the experience using bands is the same as using actual weights, just similar. Although, a mixture of bands and free-weight exercises would probably be more optimal in the future. If you're a beginner or just not sure how to go about using this product, it comes with exercise tutorials that can be handy. Still, the EVO hook and door anchor ultimately let you use the bands however you like with a little creativity. My only real complaint about the product within my time using it was that one band strap for a 50 started to detach from the band itself a couple of weeks in. However, the seller happily sent a replacement within a few days of bringing this issue up, so I consider the customer support another positive. If you are interested in the EVO gym and can get it on a good deal, then I would recommend doing so, as I think the product's versatility lets you maximize the value you can get out of it.

Great product but its more geared for taller people
The product overall is good but there are a few things you should be aware if you're buying it. The most noticeable thing is if you are particularly short you may not be able to do some exercises effectively because there is too much slack between the shortest notch and the bar. For reference, I am about 5'3" and I was doing 40reps on 200lb of resistance on floor presses with the shortest length because the band just wasn't short enough to give me enough of a challenge (and I wasn't even close to failure). That being said you may just need to utilize the other accessories more rather than the board. Other issues are minor like the small carabiner clips are sometimes a hassle to detach and attach things to because the resistance band strap gets in the way a lot and there isn't a great way to accurately increase resistance gradually by really small increments. The product does its job though and it gives you the tools to adjust your workouts as it suits you so you can find work-arounds for any issues you may run into because of your height. Just know that if you are particularly short you will need to experiment a bit more than average to find what works for you. It's biggest benefit is its pretty compact and even fits in my tiny apartment.

Very portable and easy to use!
I chose the EVO Gym over other options because it's portable, reasonably priced, has flexible lifting options, and is easy to use. I live in a small apartment and travel regularly, so the portability aspect was key for me. I shoot for 2-3 times per week and alternate between two of the full-body programs that were in the user manual. I keep a spreadsheet to track the exercises, notch settings, weight, and reps. The positives: The portability rocks. I store it on a shelf in my bedroom and use it in my living room. Everything about it is very compact, which I love. I've definitely noticed improvements in my strength and tone since I started. Changing bands and notches is very easy. Even with 30 seconds rest between sets, I can do a full-body workout in 30-40 minutes, which is perfect for my schedule. The negatives: A few small things here. I don't use the door hook at all because I'm worried about damaging a door in my apartment. That said, doing everything on the base works great for me. The first notch is too high to get a full range of motion for bench press. I put a couple of pillows under my back to elevate myself, which helps. I tried following the original instructions to store the handles inside the base, but I found this very frustrating and couldn't get them seated properly so the base would close all the way. My frustration went away when I started throwing them in the pouch with the bands. I went from not lifting at all to lifting regularly with noticeable results after about 2 months. Since the positives are all around the big things and the negatives are really nits, I feel this warrants a 5-star review.
