I was concerned about my beer lines freezing because they were too close to the cooling air, so I purchased 2 different styles in an effort to lower the lines out of the airflow. I also wanted to reorganize my lines so that it was not as quite a tangled mess with my 4 kegs. Both styles are in the picture and both have pros and cons. As you can see in the picture, the big pro for this tap is that it really lowers the hose and I am not at all worried about the line freezing now. The con is that the beer and CO2 lines go in 180 degree directions which makes organizing the lines a little more challenging.

I thought this would be harder to activate than the handle style connectors, but it's actually easier. Instead of twisting to engage the keg and then messing with the handle to open the valve it's one simple motion. There are significantly fewer parts so these will be easier to clean and maintain after a few years of service. The threaded fittings can easily be swapped out for other sizes if you are doing something non-standard. It's also much shorter than other tap designs. The only downside is that it's a little more expensive but the all stainless steel body is high quality and should last longer than most kegerator compressors.

This came with the barbs installed and ready to go. I went ahead and checked the barb fittings and they required a few extra turns. Attached my hoses, lined it up on the keg and tapped it. It tapped easier than any other keg tap I have used before.

Works great, definitely helps with low clearance in our keg cooler.

Definatly saved space. But as I said casting should have input outgo marking. First attempt i guessed wrong. Over all quality good.
