Well made boom arm. Quiet - Easy to set up - Easy to mount - Functions as it should do - Worth the money

I never thought I’d fall in love with a collection of metal and springs, but here we are. The RØDE PSA1+ is the Rolls Royce of mic arms. My mic now hovers gracefully in front of me like it’s about to drop some Grammy-winning vocals, even though I mostly use it to sing to 2 people who listen to me (hi mother and dad). It moves like butter. Not like cheap margarine. Real, smooth, expensive butter. Silent, sturdy, and somehow makes me feel more professional than I actually am. Also, setup was so easy I didn’t even have to pretend to read the manual. It clamped onto my desk like it meant business, and hasn’t wobbled, squeaked, or sagged once. Can’t say the same for my posture. Is it overkill for a hobbyist? Probably. Will you feel cooler than you should while using it? Absolutely.

Having Bought a few cheap arms you might be thinking how much better can these boom arms be? Photos do not show the difference in quality. Key points: -quality construction all screws and parts look and feel good to uses, and I expect them to last. -They are physically bigger than the cheap ones (more reach) -silent operation you don’t get that annoying springy sound or rattles - they stay put with the mic attached even if you extend the arm fully - no drifting in any position or need for constant retightening. -the table clamp has rubber pads on both parts so it doesn’t gouge you table on either side. -clamp mount positions the weight of the arm over the table rather than hanging off the back of the clamp - neat clips for cable management Bad bits : - difficult/limited use if mounted near a wall but all of the arms designed in this way have this issues -Big “Rode” Branding but this is a bit marmite (some might like it some might hate it) Overall yes it’s much more expensive than the cheap generic ones but is also a much better product that will look good on camera

The Rode PSA1+ is a very well-built microphone arm and a clear upgrade over cheaper alternatives. The movement is smooth and quiet, it holds position reliably, and once set up properly it feels solid and professional in daily use. Cable management is well thought out, with the integrated channels keeping everything tidy and reducing desk clutter. It also supports a wide range of microphones without sagging, which inspires confidence if you’re using heavier kit. That said, it’s not completely perfect. Adjusting tension can be a bit fiddly at first, and getting it dialled in exactly how you want takes some patience. The arm is also fairly substantial, so it may feel a little overkill for very lightweight microphones or smaller desks. Overall, it’s a high-quality boom arm that does exactly what it’s meant to do and does it quietly. A strong 4-star product excellent build and performance, just held back slightly by setup quirks rather than day-to-day use.

Very sturdy so far, feels really good quality and has lots of wonderful quality of life features. Very much worth the price.

Good Arm. Visually Pleasing and Works Well

This thing is awesome, sure there are cheaper alternatives but the balance on this thing is amazing. Just stays in place, can easily push it to the side when not in use and it does not flop. Don't hesitate if you like quality products that last. My previous arm (Ikea) is now in the bin.
