MYNT Smart Item Finder and Remote Control (New Edition)- Tracker, Item Finder, Phone Locator, Wallet Tracker, Smartphone Remote, Camera Remote, Presentation clicker (Two Units, Black and Silver)

I have purchased about 5 of these various devices for tracking my wallet. The only devices I was interested in were those that had the proximity sensor as I wanted to know if I had left my wallet behind. Without naming the names of these various devices (many very popular), I have a word of warning. The Bluetooth ability of all these devices is limited in that when you are sitting on your wallet or there is the smallest obstruction between you and your wallet, the Bluetooth signal is inhibited enough to cause a false alarm. This is the case with all the top brands (including MYN) and many others. While this device was the most dependable of them all, I finally gave up and tossed it in the trash. Until the MFGs figure out how to make them reliable over short distances, through your body, so they do not false alarm, they have limited value in the real world.

If you are looking for the "new edition", this isn't it. Look for the MYNT ES which is louder, uses a more common longer lasting battery, and it's smaller.

The product is fragile and is impossible to found the battery to change when it is empty.

I bought this to key track of car keys. A disappointment. (a) It depends on Bluetooth - short range, "pairing" problems.(b) The volume of the "beep" which is essential to finding your item is barely perceptible. (c) The unit uses a CR2020 battery which is non-standard and pricey. And, the unit uses them up fast. (d) Forget the advertising hype which claims that "good samaritans" will be on the lookout for your lost item. I liked the stainless case and low profile, but the unit just doesn't deliver the promised end product.

Didn't work, could not get it to pair with my iphone and I would get stuck on a continuous loop trying to do so.

No bueno, it interferes with some other equipment and it is not very useful!
