Hollon HS-360D 2 Hour Fireproof Home Safe

This is the best safe for the money, in the market. Bar none. The manufacturer is excellent; responsible and helpful..which is just as well, because the safe arrived very damaged. How the carrier managed to dent solid steel plate is a mystery. It was obviously very inconvenient to put this heavy safe into position, just to find out it didn't work. But the manufacturer was on the case immediately. So don't hesitate to buy this. It's excellent. The replacement safe is on its way. Even though first safe arrived damaged, the build quality and mechanism is excellent. Just dont be surprised if the first safe arrives damaged and the carrier isn't very helpful. The manufacturer and seller are excellent and make up for the rest. If you don't want to spend more than $500 on a safe, but want a decent safe, buy this. It's also bigger than you think.

This model is 15" width inside - good for laptop. Dial requires going many times left or right, but there is no clicking sound (silence) and I cannot imagine how it can be opened without code. Key is flat high security type, that cannot be "bumped". Walls are thick and whole thing is built like a tank. I had inexpensive Sentry safe before, but this is different level of safety. Door is removable.

This is a really nice and beefy safe. Doing some research I found that Hollon safes are known for providing lengthy fireproof protection and that is my primary goal. Well built and solid throughout. I like the fact that it has a key that cannot be duplicated at any old locksmith's shop and it's got a 4 number combination dial.

This is a great safe! Very sturdy and high quality. We bought the old fashion dial lock model, which is simple to use and has no electronics to break or foul up. It is heavy enough to deter theft but not so heavy that you cannot get it into your apartment. We find it is a great safe for New York City apartment life.
