Complete Trash. DOES NOT hold in place at all (BUT read to the end - there IS a FREE solution!!!)
PLEASE for your own sake, read to the end of this review. While this device doesn't work, there is a completely free method that is VERY easy to do at the end of this. No gimmick, no videos to watch, no specific products to buy (you very well might not need anything at all other than what you sleep on at home already, just a certain technique to stop snoring). Just a fellow snorer helping you out. To start, this product here is like a children's gag toy. It has absolutely nothing on it to attach it to your teeth. You put it in your mouth, and move your jaw around even the slightest bit, it falls right out. It even uncomfortably jams the corners against your gums as it moves out of place as well. The ONLY way this could be the slightest bit useful is if you used this in conjunction with a chin strap, to keep you from opening your mouth at all. But then, that defies the whole point of it being able to open and close. You might as well buy one where the top and bottom are just secured to each other. They do have a "Zquiet advance" mouthguard that is decent. Works MUCH better than this thing, FAR better. Only problem with that one is if you're a mouth-breather when you sleep (which most people that snore are), if you open your mouth too much with this device, your jaw will swivel back, and it won't help at all. No idea why they designed it the way they did (the arm attachment for the top should be towards the front, and the arm for the bottom should be towards the back of the bottom guard). Again, it's a good idea to use this one with a chin strap as well if you know you tend to open your mouth while sleeping. Sadly, with how hit or miss these types of things are, this is one of the two best ones I found to date. There's two swivel ones like this that have the right idea, but both of them have the same issue when they swivel back (and allow the lower jaw to swivel all the way back, closing off the airway). ------- *** One other note - this overall technique works VERY well for me, although it won't work so well for those that move around in their sleep. Use a device like this, but also, get a wedge pillow (about a 7.5" one to elevate your entire upper body; helps keep the tongue from falling back into the throat), and then a memory foam pillow to place on top of the wedge (for head/neck support). The reason I suggest a memory foam pillow is because of the steep edges on the sides. What you want to do is lay on your side, and turn your head slightly downward off the edge of the pillow. It takes some getting used to, and you might drool at first until you get the angle just right. One thing that I saw suggested that helps is to hold a pillow between your arms/legs. It causes your body to lean into it, thereby naturally causing your head to tilt downward a bit. By tilting your head slightly downwards like that, when your tongue relaxes, it falls towards the front of your throat, thereby preventing it from blocking your airway. Since I started doing this, for the first time ever, I have absolutely NO snoring at night at all anymore. Recorded three nights straight - not even a slight snore once. It was so quiet I thought it might not even be recording, until I heard myself get up at night to go to the bathroom (I would say I'm getting up and going to the bathroom, so that I wouldn't wonder if it was noise I was making while sleeping). Those were the only times I ever even made a peep, and I used to snore so loud the whole house could hear me. So again, mouthguard to push it forward, 7.5" pillow wedge, memory foam pillow, and sleep on your side with the head tilted slightly downward off the edge of the pillow.

It Actually Works!!!
Sorry for the long review…i just want to give ZQuiet the praise it deserves, since it’s Amazon ratings don’t do it a whole lot of justice. If you don’t want to read my review, fine. The title should be straightforward enough. “It actually works!” To be fair, I have struggled for a while to sleep with a mouth guard in (i have a super expensive, custom mouth guard made by my dentist after I had a tooth implant…it is not made to be an anti-snoring device…mainly just there to protect my tooth implant.) Even the custom, dentist-made mouth guard causes me so much tooth soreness and discomfort that i can hardly wear it…plus it does absolutely nothing for my snoring issue (it’s not it’s main purpose anyhow). My wife has had to deal with my snoring for a few years now, and it just keeps getting worse. Especially worsens with weight gain, but that’s a whole other issue that I am working on. With my snoring worsening, I really needed to find some sort of solution (especially for my wife’s sake). I will admit, I was kind of skeptical that an anti-snore mouth guard would even help at all. I first saw ads about ZQuiet on Facebook. But I never fully trust ads I see there so I ignored it. Then I also noticed the brand here on Amazon. However, the reviews/stars for ZQuiet kind of threw me off. There were other anti-snore mouth guards at a similar price point that appeared to be rated much higher on Amazon. So I tried one of the other brands (simply due to higher Amazon stars/ratings). I use an app called SnoreLab to try and track my results. Searching out and testing another mouth guard it was a really tough adjustment. After giving the other brands a few weeks of testing, I concluded that it just didn’t work for me (see screenshot of my results/journey). The other brands of snore guards made very little difference (check out my SnoreLab app results). So I searched for a different one. I kept seeing ZQuiet. I figured “why not?”. Even though the Amazon ratings aren’t as high as others for some reason, I decided to give ZQuiet a try. On my first night with ZQuiet, I spit it out. In fact, when I woke up in the morning, I found the ZQuiet next to my pillow (I must’ve spit it out of my mouth at some point during the night). Then I checked the SnoreLab results. For the first half of the night, my snoring was actually minimized significantly. In fact, from my screenshot, you can clearly see at what point I spit it out. It took about a week for me to successfully be able to wear ZQuiet throughout the night. As with all mouth guards I’ve tried, my teeth usually feel sore in the morning. But ZQuiet makes it worth it. I have gotten used to it and my tooth soreness has been disappearing (be patient!). I have added a few screenshots so that you can all see my results. I have added notes to the screenshots as well to describe what you are seeing. ZQuiet totally deserves a higher rating! Although I still have a snoring problem, ZQuiet helps significantly temper my snoring loudness so that my wife can finally get a peaceful night of rest! At this price point I would highly recommend ZQuiet! Nice thing about Amazon is that if it doesn’t work for you, just return it. What do you have to lose? (Gah, I sound like a freaking commercial haha)

It works, BUT...
So I will save you a bunch of reading. Yes, it works. But there are some major drawbacks. I'm male. In my early 40's and I weigh about 215. I'm about 20 pounds over my fighting weight. Snoring had become an increasing issue for the past couple of years until I was finally relegated to the spare bedroom. I was tested for sleep apnea and even had sinus surgery but the snoring continued. I bought ZQuiet after downloading the SnoreLab app and it was one of the suggestions. After using it the first night my snoring immediately improved, but my two upper front teeth hurt like hell. I can only figure it feels something like having braces on after an adjustment. Anyway it was painful. The product manufacturers warn you of this issue upfront in the documentation that comes with the device. And they also stated that after a few days the pain will get better. I would say for me this is only half true. The other issue, that worried me more, is that after a few days I noticed my teeth were actually moving. My overbite was changing and my teeth were coming together in strange ways when I would chew food. The other issue I was having, is that some nights I would spit it out in the middle of the night unknowingly. Apparently I was unconsciously rejecting the device, ha ha. So anyway, after using it regularly for about 10 days I stopped. I bought the soreRX Plus. It is similar to this device, but it has a moldable tray so it will form to your teeth. It also has an adjustable jawline, so you can change how much support your lower jaw needs. I have found that this device is superior. I have a little bit of jaw muscle pain, and my teeth feel a little different, but they're not necessarily moving and I am not spitting it out at night. Apologies for the long explanation, but I'm hoping the above information helps. All the best to you.

This should be illigal!
$40+ for a piece of plastic that you're not even allowed to return if it doesn't work, AND they "advise" replacing it every 4 months... Wow, maybe I should consider entering this business. Almost every similar product barely manages to achieve more than 3 stars in reviews, and there's a good reason for that. It simply DOESN'T WORK for everyone. This alone should prompt the company to reconsider their return policy. There are numerous different reasons why someone snores, and adjusting your jaw forward is NOT a universal solution as the video suggest. I've been trying various solutions for my snoring, and so far, nothing has proven effective. This has been yet another discouraging attempt. It's exceptionally frustrating to discover that returns are not even an option, especially when there's a "return" button available. However, upon clicking it, you realize it cannot be done. The piece itself fits snugly between my teeth and doesn't cause discomfort to my gums, as some reviews suggest. However, apart from pushing my jaws forward (which is genuinely uncomfortable), it also keeps my mouth open. Perhaps with time, it might become less uncomfortable, but I'm not willing to give it that chance. I understand that it may take some time to get used to it. The instructions themselves advise patience. However, literally 30 seconds after lying down in bed, my throat relaxes, and I start snoring, EXACTLY as if I didn't have anything in my mouth, but now with the added discomfort of the piece. It's been a significant waste of time and money.

Product Review: ZQuiet Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece, Comfort Size #1
Summary: The ZQuiet Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece in Comfort Size #1 delivers on its promise to reduce snoring significantly, but it comes with substantial drawbacks in terms of comfort and dental health. Here’s a detailed look at my experience with this product. Pros: Effective Snoring Reduction: Performance: The ZQuiet mouthpiece excels in its primary function. Using the SnoreLab app to track my snoring, the difference was dramatic. My snoring intensity and frequency decreased significantly from the very first night. It’s a night and day improvement, making it easier for both me and my partner to sleep soundly. Immediate Results: The reduction in snoring was noticeable immediately upon using the mouthpiece, which is impressive. Ease of Use: Design: The ZQuiet mouthpiece is designed to be simple to use. It requires no special fitting or adjustments, which makes it convenient for quick use. Maintenance: Cleaning the mouthpiece is straightforward, and it doesn’t require any complicated maintenance routines. Cons: Jaw Pain: Discomfort: Despite its effectiveness in reducing snoring, the mouthpiece causes significant jaw pain upon waking. The discomfort is severe enough to affect my morning routine and persists even after several nights of use. Adjustment Period: I had hoped the jaw pain would diminish after a few nights, but it remained consistently painful, indicating a major downside for long-term use. Dental Issues: Tooth Pain: The mouthpiece causes my front teeth to become loose, clicky, and extremely painful. This pain is not just a mild inconvenience; it’s quite severe and affects my ability to bite and chew comfortably. No Improvement Over Time: Despite continued use, the pain and looseness in my teeth did not improve, raising concerns about potential long-term dental damage. Overall Impression: While the ZQuiet Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece in Comfort Size #1 is highly effective at reducing snoring, the severe jaw pain and significant dental discomfort it causes are too substantial to overlook. The effectiveness of the product in reducing snoring is rendered almost moot by the extreme discomfort experienced during use. For those considering this product, it’s important to weigh the immediate benefits of reduced snoring against the potential for significant jaw and dental pain. Unfortunately, in my experience, the discomfort far outweighed the benefits, making it difficult to recommend the ZQuiet mouthpiece without reservations. Conclusion: If snoring is a significant issue and you are willing to endure considerable discomfort for the sake of quieter nights, the ZQuiet Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece may be worth a try. However, be prepared for potential jaw pain and dental issues, which may not improve with continued use. Consulting with a dental professional before use might also be advisable to prevent any lasting damage to your teeth and jaw.

It works. Try it.
Plenty of negative reviews, but this works. In a sleep study, this reduced my AHI from a 37 to a 7 and it only costs $39 as opposed to $400 for cpap. I think most of the negative reviews have never tried cpap. Will you drool? Yes, especially at first. Does it feel weird or uncomfortable? Yes, especially at first. I got used to it pretty quickly. Will it make your teeth hurt or feel funny? Yes, especially at first. I got used to it pretty quickly though and it really allows me to get much better quality of sleep compared to when i don't wear it. It is really easy and cheap compared to cpap and it works. I can easily take this with me on vacation, but a cpap machine is much more difficult. I realize that ZQuiet does not allow returns, however, for only $39 it really is worth trying. I went to a dentist to inquire about a custom made one, and i was quoted at $4,500. This is a bargain.

It works
I’ve been trying plenty of alternatives to decrease my annoying snoring. I think I’m driving my boyfriend to his wits end listening to me at night lol. I tried nose strips and nasal expander, the uncomfortable pillow (which is also actually helpful), and another mouth guard. The other mouth guard was effective when on, but highly uncomfortable and when I took it off my teeth would ache and my jaw would pop around for a little while which made me a little nervous. I looked a lot and like the appeal of the Zquiet not forcing my jaw open. I did think perhaps that would make it be less effective but it hasn’t thus far been. I put it in about 10-15min before I go to sleep. I do have to take it out 1-2x before I fall asleep to swallow the initial increased saliva in my mouth. I can move my jaw open and closed, and the guard is labeled ‘upper’ for those of us whom can’t always figure out the obvious. I use a snore app just to torture myself when I wake up by listening to how I slept and how much I snored. The 1st time I wore it the majority of my sleep, then woke up a couple hours before my alarm went off and took it out. I noticed on my app that the whole time it was in it didn’t pick up any snoring, then the snoring it did pick up after I took it out was decreased. I work night shift so on my work week I think I sleep a little harder and I’ve only had this a few days, all happen to be after I’ve been on shift. I see that as long as it’s in my snoring is either stopped or extremely decreased, but it seems I find it easy in my sleep to remove it as well. My teeth haven’t been sore at all with this one. My jaw has been a little sore and ‘loose’ feeling right when I take it out, but no where as bad as with my SnoreRX. Overall I feel like this may be a good solution for me, maybe not a miracle answer, but a great help!! I recommend it :)

Uncomfortable and Not Returnable
*If you want to try this, I’d highly recommend ordering it from the website direct— see notes at the end** I gave this an honest try, but after 5 nights of pretty high discomfort and taking it out in my sleep, I would not recommend this product. I realize it is a health product, but it’s ridiculous to charge someone $40 for a plastic device and then not allow them to return it because it hurts. Not only does it hurt my jaw (I got the small size) the plastic is rough on the edges and has left sores along my gums behind my bottom teeth. With the cost, you’d think they’d be able to afford a more comfortable material, at the very least make the edges of the plastic more bearable. I ordered this from the company’s website direct, and then I realized I could get it next day from Amazon so I ordered this one and immediately (within a minute) reached out to the website to cancel my order because I could get it in 1 day from Amazon and it took a week to get it from the website direct. I was emailed the following day with “apologies” that my email was missed and I was not able to cancel as my order was already set for shipping. I just got it in the mail and I was able to get a refund from the website- I didn’t even open the shipping package. They won’t take it back, but refunded me so now I have another that I won’t use. I regret ordering it from Amazon. I wish it was more obvious on the ordering page that a product is not eligible for refunds. It took a couple more days to get it from the website, but it would have been worth it to ensure I could be refunded if it didn’t work for me.
