Why didn’t I upgrade sooner? In short, this shredder is absolutely amazing, and well worth the money. Pros: Quiet shredding. This is much quieter than the smaller shredder I had before Can handle high volume. We just moved, and had a lot of paperwork to shred. Handled it easily and fast Shreds credit cards and staples with no problem. Ran about 30 old plastic credit/insurance cards through quickly Simple pm/off button and auto shred start Easy assembly - just attach the wheels High capacity bin - will need to be emptied rarely Cons: It’s big. Doesn’t fit under my office desk like the old one. Comes with the territory, but read dimensions first. Need to line things up well. Can’t just be sloppy about how you insert multiple pages for shredding Summary - 100% win. Will update my review if I experience anything negative down the line. Very highly recommend!

This is an excellent paper shredder. Not very fast, but it has a lot of torque and rarely bogs down, or jams, even with very heavy, stiff cardboard. For the past couple of years we have used this to shred all manner of cardboard boxes for mulch, and even being kept in an outside (covered) garage somewhat exposed to the elements for better part of a year, the only problem is the power button became stuck (in the On position fortunately). I would highly recommend. Related note: From the factory, the opening is too narrow to effectively feed thicker cardboard (such as the heavy duty moving boxes). However, I performed some minor surgery with a Dremel tool to enlarge the feed opening, and now it works great. This involves some minor disassembly; however, if you're' careful to mind wires, especially the light activated feed sensor, it's not hard to do. Unfortunately, I have not found a reasonably priced unit on the market that will feed cardboard. If you're willing to modify, this unit will do it. If it fails, I would purchase again.

I needed an excellent heavy duty paper shredder that not only shreds paper but things with staples, and it shreds CDs and DVDs and it's got a very big storage bin that holds the shreds till you have to dump it! I'm very happy with this shredder and it's relatively quiet and I get very happy shredding all my junk mail every day and knowing my personal details are wiped out and I can dump the shreds in our apartment dumpster and not have to worry about people going through the trash and getting my important information because this machine micro shreds to where it's impossible to see or get important information!

I recently purchased the paper shredder and it has exceeded my expectations. As someone who receives a lot of junk mail, I needed a reliable shredder that could handle heavy loads without skipping a beat. This thing is an absolute beast! It will shred just about anything with ease. Need to shred cardboard? No problem. Tired of junk mail and catalogs? This shredder is for you. Wish I had bought this years ago. Say goodbye to junk mail without having to open it or prepare it. Just shove them in and it will tear through it all. After several months we haven't had a problem with anything jamming or getting stuck in the teeth. It even does a quick run after each shred to clear itself. And the pieces are pretty small -- not microscopic, but I doubt you'll need them much smaller unless your stuff is top secret. Perhaps not the cheapest shredder, but worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Works great, very quiet. I don’t like that it is so top heavy. The stickers on the front don’t come off so that looks sorta bad.

If you can get it in the slot without binding this thing will shred it. Paper, paperclips, film, card stock, file folder, cds, credit cards... it barely strains when fully loaded. I used this unit for about 40 minutes at a time for about 3 days now, letting it cool for an hour in-between sessions. It shreds nicely, quietly and efficiently. There is a bit of paper dust after several uses, and stray shreds fall inside the cabinet. But this is a very good value and seems to be holding up well. Without jamming or overheating.. so far. It is a relatively slow process to shred the number of documents I need to dispose of, so I'm still going to schedule a shredder truck. But I'm glad I bought this shredder and I'll get very good use out of it.

This shredder is a terrific machine. Over time we had stored decades worth of shredding. I was using a good but incredibly loud shredder that just wasn't up for this job. I bought the Bonsen and my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Its quiet, capable, and sturdy. Comes with a large basket so you're not constantly emptying it. Its pricy but I'd buy it again.

Well made sturdy build. I had no problem shredding old tax returns, although unit is rated at 24 max sheets I have only tested at 18 sheets and it worked well. Shredder is fairly quiet and easy to operate with only two control buttons forward and reverse.

This shredder is unlike anything else, it’s tough, it’s quick, and it does what you need it to do and then some!

This is a monster!! I don't think I will ever need a replacement for my home use. It is well worth the price.
