Makes really good small cups of coffee.
Like many people, we have been using a k-cup coffee maker for many years. We keep hearing more and more about "forever chemicals" and "micro-plastics" that have negative health effects, and for the most part, I was ignoring those stories as all my life we have been using plastics. Recently I made a cup of coffee, and as soon as my coffee was brewed, I noticed a film on the top of the coffee, similar to an oil slick. We clean our machine very well after every cup of coffee, so this really made me start to think about the hot water and all of the plastic that it touches in our k-cup coffee maker. As I was looking for alternatives that had no plastic, I seen this stovetop espresso maker and decided to give it a try. The directions were easy to follow, and it took me about 7 or 8 minutes to make a "cup" of coffee. I normally make a 12oz coffee, and this maker only makes a 6oz. I really liked the flavor, and I don't mind that it takes 7 to 8 minutes to make if that means that I'm able to do so without having any plastics involved. If they made this to where it would make up to 12oz's at a time, it would be perfect. If I eventually find one just like this that will, I will order it. In the mean time, I ordered a stovetop percolator that can make up to 8 cups of coffee at one time. I have tried it and it works fine, but I definitely like how this one works a lot better. If you like small cups of coffee, then this stovetop espresso maker is perfect.

Better than Bialetti!
I have had a couple of Bialetti moka pots over the years. They get so crummy looking and the innards erode. I am very happy with this purchase. Not only is the espresso it produces delicious but the little pot is adorable and maintains its beauty. I very much like the glass upper portion to be able to see the percolation occuring. The unit is well sealed. The glass is thick and resistant to breakage. The lower metal portion maintains its shine. Easy to use and easy to clean. This size of moka pot makes a 20 oz cappuccino for me (coffee plus half steamed, half frothed milk). *Update - the one frustration I have is the unit getting completely dry. I'd wash, disassemble, allow it to air dry and the next time I'd use it, there would be moisture. I uploaded a photo to show how I'm completely taking it apart, including the gasket and edged filter now after washing. I also use a straw brush to clean the siphon tube. I just don't want germs lurking. All this and I still do enjoy it two to three times a week. I just hope the gasket lasts well.

Simple and reliable
It really does piss coffee everywhere when you try to pour it like other reviews say, but I don't think there's really anything the designers could have done about it considering its glass that heats up 200 degrees in seconds. Sharp edges that would break the surface tension would have it crack and shatter within a few uses. Other than that, it works really nice. Easy to clean.

Careful pouring and watch carefully.
I liked that you could see when it's finished brewing, but that is it. The spout is not good. The coffee spills everywhere while pouring. It is also very important to keep a constant watch, otherwise it burns. This renders the whole thing useless, by giving the flavor a permanent burnt taste.

I'd definitely buy this again.
I bought this to replace a Delonghi Alicia Moka machine, which has worked fine but I wanted to get an induction-ready device for our new range. This has worked out well, so far. The product is good, and it works very well on the induction range. I have a Bosch, which runs from 1-9 power. I find it best at 6-7. I like the fact that if you pour half of the pot you can keep the rest warm at a setting of 2 or so. It cleans up very nicely and I look forward to putting it into the dishwasher. I believe others have remarked about the flimsy threads, which I agree with. However, it seals up just fine. I've had leakage once when I overfilled the coffee. I might have marked down a star for this but didn't because the unit is priced very fairly. This unit uses the same coffee basket as the DeLonghi. This is nice because it has a notch partway up the basket that you use to make a half batch. I have the the insert from the DeLonghi, which works perfectly. You just need to eyeball the amount of water to put in, although this isn't critical.

Perfect Single-Cup Espresso Maker
I use this espresso maker every day, and it’s become one of my favorite parts of my morning routine. It makes exactly one cup, which is just the right size for me. The coffee comes out strong, rich, and flavorful—much better than what I get from a regular drip machine. The design is both functional and beautiful. I especially love the crystal glass top—it’s fun to watch the coffee brew, and it adds a touch of elegance to the process. The stainless steel body feels sturdy and durable, and it heats up quickly on the stovetop. One thing to note: the handle can loosen up a bit with regular use, but it’s an easy fix by tightening the screw. Not a dealbreaker at all, just something to be aware of. Overall, this is a compact, stylish, and effective moka pot that makes a consistently great cup of coffee. If you want a quick, single serving of espresso at home without taking up counter space, this is an excellent choice.
