I received the item in a fair amount of time. Installed and my water heater problem got fixed.

After a good cleaning under the burner assembly, and replacing the pilot assembly, and still not able to keep the pilot lit, I tried replacing with this valve. After being without hot water for several days, the valve arrived, only to discover during installation that the threads for the copper pilot line weren't right. Correct size, but the connector would only screw in crooked, and therefore would leak gas. It was like they had been previously cross-threaded. Amazon quickly sent out a replacement. It showed up two days later, installed without issue, and voila! It has worked flawlessly for a couple of weeks. Where I live, there is no local company that will sell you appliace parts if you're not a contractor. While same-day isn't an option, being able to purchase thid from Amazon saved me hundreds of dollars having to hire a repair person.

Bought used for half the price. Someone definitely had roughly installed it before and left marks but it works. Make sure and drain your tank first. Also, while you’re in there get a scrub brush and vacuumed and clean out the air vent under the burner they get clogged with dust and prevent the burner from getting enough oxygen. Waiting for the tank to drain adds extra time. Probably took an hour total, then the water heater worked better than ever! Check for gas leaks and reset /recalibrate the temperature settings.

I knew going in that the product may have been previously installed; however, what I didn't know, and I don't think that the seller knew that there was an issue with the product. Upon receiving the valve, I did a thorough inspection and found that the thermostat on the rear was cross threaded. Having worked in maintenance and being a skilled tradesman, I was able to correct the issue and get the item installed. It works like intended so I have no complaints. Thank you.
