Hear Your Heart (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 2)

I used this book to introduce the circulatory system. I ended up getting more books from this series. My first graders have loved learning about the body and these books have been so helpful!

This has great illustrations to teach my kids about their heart, especially my 3 year old who has a heart condition.

I bought this a few years ago for my friend's son who was scheduled for heart surgery to correct a defect. He apparently loved it. This year he had to go back for some follow-up procedures -- he took the book to show his doctors and nurses what he knew about his heart. Such a cool kid. Apparently the nurses and doctors thought it was a great book too! I was very happy to learn that it helped this great kid handle a scary procedure a bit better.

It's a good book. Nice story and explains things well. With that said, my son has read it once and not read it again, so he doesn't seem as interested.

My 3 year old has been very interested in hearts lately. This book had great pictures and thorough yet simple explanations.

This book helps make sense of it all. I bought a small nurse bag, a -real- stethoscope, some surgical masks, an otoscope, added an old thermometer, a microscope, and a few other things and my kid LOVED IT!!! Real doctor's bag will rock -an excite- their world!

I almost returned this book because I didn't personally enjoy it. But my 5 year old daughter found it before I did and insisted I read it to her. She LOVES reading about the heart and she loves this book. I also purchased a kid's stethoscope which works well enough and we have fun listening to each other's and to our pets' hearts.

This was a little advanced for the preschoolers who I bought it for, but with a little adjustment they enjoyed it. Probably would be better for a K audience. Cute graphics and satisfied me as a nurse who wanted something more accurate.
