Excellent product, help for my joints and mix with my smoothies, no sugar 😋 I recommend this Gelatin Powder

I bought this product as an alternative to a more expensive gelatin product I was already buying from Vital Proteins. After confirming with Amandean that their gelatin product was also derived from cows that had been raised in pastures (primarily grass-fed) and were free of undesirable things (such as added gluten, GMOs, rBGH, ractopamine, or preservatives), I decided to give it a try. I found the Amandean gelatin to be every bit as good as the more expensive brand. The usage measurements are the same and, as a bonus, you get 2.2 pounds of gelatin from Amandean versus only 2 pounds from Vital Proteins. Amandean deserves 5 stars for taste, quality, and quantity, but I'm only giving 4 stars because the package it comes in far exceeds that which is necessary to hold the product. I don't know if this is a marketing ploy to create the illusion in the mind of the buyer that they are getting SO MUCH more, but it is unnecessary since the weight is clearly indicated on the label. So if Amandean would stop wasting natural resources by using an unnecessarily large container, I would happily revise this review and give them the 5 stars they deserve. In the meantime I'll keep buying and watching for a reduction in the container size. It's everybody's responsibility to conserve our finite natural resources. FYI: I use it to make a healthy and gut-friendly beverage that is much less expensive than outrageously priced bone broth, but just as beneficial. For those that are interested, I am listing the simple recipe below. 1-2 shakes of sea salt 1-2 shakes of ground black pepper 1/4 tsp organic ground turmeric (Note: organic spices are not irradiated, which destroys their natural health benefit.) 2 level scoops of gelatin 1 cup of organic chicken broth (Note: I use and like the Pacific brand.) 4 ounces of distilled water * 1 Tbs of organic coconut oil (* Don't use tap water. It typically has chlorine, or chloramine, and fluoride in it; all of which are toxic and wreck havoc on your gut.) Put the ingredients in an unheated pan in the order listed, except for the coconut oil. Do not stir. Apply a low heat (e.g., simmer) to the pan and let it slowly warm to a tolerable sipping temperature. When warm, add the coconut oil and stir. Drink and enjoy. Your gut will love you for it. 07/02/19 - The review is being altered in that I have now rated the product with 5 stars because Amandean has posted a comment that it has reduced the size of its container. This is such a great value. I'm beyond impressed. I've been spending a lot more money and this is just as good if not better for dissolving in a smoothie. I'll absolutely be putting this on my recurring order shipments.

For the last few years I have been suffering from the pain of arthritis in my left knee and it was starting in my right knee. It was so bad some days I needed a walker. I couldn't walk up and down stairs like a normal person, I had to keep my left knee straight as the pain was unbearable. I began consuming this beef gelatin on Father's Day this year and within the first week I could feel a difference in my pain level. Now after just a few weeks I am almost pain free. I have zero pain in my right knee and my left knee is 90 % better. I am now walking up and down stairs like I did 10 years ago. I haven't used my walker since I started the beef gelatin. I follow the directions on the container, 4 oz. room temp water, 1 scoop gelatin, stir let sit for a few minutes then add 4 oz. warm water, stir and drink. It doesn't taste good nor does it taste bad, it's like drinking warm gelled water. I don't care what it tastes like, I just know that it has helped me tremendously. I may try some different recipes in the future, but for now I am happy drinking it this way. I am so blessed to have found this. By the way, my doc wanted me to take pain meds, but I was determined to find a better way. Thank you Amandean, you have me as a customer for life. My husband has started drinking this a few days ago. We'll see how he does.
